Like, if singers can't do their jobs well for a swath of time in the spring, maybe that turns into mostly orchestral/chamber concerts for a few weeks in each city while the worst of the allergens descend? I don't know, but I do know that SO many of us are more mucus than human right now!! OOF!

Given that someone decided years ago that it'd be great to plant mostly male (i.e. pollen producing) trees and now we're all stuck with horrendous spring allergies, I genuinely wonder if this is going to eventually negatively influence performance schedules at some point down the line.

I called my House Rep (Nikema Williams) today to voice my dissent against the budgetary bill that the Senate just pushed to the House/my support for her fighting the good fight on our behalf, and the person answering the phone was just so kind, and seemed so glad to hear from me. *snort* (Small anecdote: my piano teacher in undergrad was a no nonsense type person. Meanwhile, I am a comedian… so when I did my piano jury, I listed the piece I was playing, along with 2 other options: Rach 3, and John Cage 4:33. At least the other piano faculty members got a kick out of it! 😂)
