🚨Our governments are about to decide whether 450M Europeans deserve privacy - or not. Help ensure your country says NO to Chat Control: Call you local representatives! Privacy is not negotiable. Speak up now. ✊ #privacy 👉 More on how to stop Chat Control: tuta.com/blog/chat-co...
Map of the EU showing what countries are in favor (red), in opposition (green) and undecided (yellow) about Chat Control. The undecided ones must be contacted to stop Chat Control: Estonia, Germany, Greece, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Romania. While the Swedish government leans in favour of chat control, it needs parliamentary approval.

Illustration done for the first publication of my colleague Nicolas Zucker. He managed to measure heart and breathing rate by monitoring tissue motion in the brain using ultrasound, what a crazy idea ! #sciart 🐡 #scicomm 🧪 #neuroscience 🧠🫀🫁🤯
A non realistic illustration in which some researchers are working around a brain at least 5 times bigger than a human. They are positioning an ultrasound probe on the top to measure heart and breathing rate. We see literally, heart and lungs inside the brain.

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic. globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

In 1984, Dr. Daniel Drucker, an endocrinologist from the University of Toronto, discovered a hormone that helped pave the way for popular diabetes drugs such as Ozempic.

🧠🧩 A breakthrough in memory research! Scientists at ESPCI – PSL discovered a key link between astrocytes, neurons, and hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) in long-term memory. This could reshape our understanding of Alzheimer’s disease. 🔗 Learn more : www.espci.psl.eu/fr/actualite...

Here is a 3D illustration on how ultrasound waves can activate the mechanosensitive RET signalling pathway. A cascade of reaction from the cell membrane to the nucleus. The design was inspired by the interaction of cosmic rays with earth atmosphere 🌍🔬 #sciart 🐡 #scicomm 🧪 @physmedparis.bsky.social

Studying brain autoregulation implies to be able to separate blood flow in veins and artery. With my PhD student Nikan Fakhari, we proposed a new method to achieve this on ultrafast doppler data. iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1... #ultrasound
