For those playing along; Less than a month after ‘apologising’ for sexual harassment, Muppet History have deleted their apology post on Instagram (their final remaining page) and have blocked multiple accounts of people who spoke out against them. It seems they’re going to attempt a comeback.

Say it louder for the people in the back! HBO did not cancel Sesame Street. HBO do not own Sesame Street. HBO have chosen not to renew their distribution of Sesame Street. Sesame Workshop own Sesame Street. Sesame Workshop are currently looking for options. PBS is no longer a viable option.

There is never an excuse for harassment of any kind. The Muppets have taught us:

To treat all people, monsters, pigs and frogs with respect.

To believe people who are hurting and asking for help.

To admit mistakes and learn from them.

And the Muppet fandom has taught us that we are a vast tapestry of wonderful individuals, bigger than any one person.
