Jaz @jaz.sh · 29/09/2026i've been there a couple of times, it's fine it just isn't always open during stated business hours cause i guess not many people go there outside of lunch time M-F 110
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026conceptually related conversations basically, yeah conversations that are nearby in embedded vectorspace but not close enough to be clustered together get tied with lines like that 010
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026i'm glad you like it! it was about time the ol' atlas got a second pass with a lot more experience to draw from :) 030
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026you can enable adult topics by scrolling to the bottom of the list, they just get summarized as "adult" until you tick the box 010
Reposted by JazJaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026Okay so I've built a new Atlas, this time it lets you explore the conversations on Bluesky over the past 7 days graphically. It should update every ~6 hours and help you navigate the information environment that exists on here. I've learned a LOT about what people do here today... atlas.jazco.devatlas.jazco.devAtlasA living map of what Bluesky is talking about: the past week's conversations, grouped into topics and regions and rebuilt every six hours. 1161397413
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026there will likely be one big shift coming soon cause im swapping embedding models to support more than just english language posts but after that the regions should remain stable across updates 010
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026Try here atlas.jazco.dev?sel=topic-15...atlas.jazco.devAtlasA living map of what Bluesky is talking about: the past week's conversations, grouped into topics and regions and rebuilt every six hours. 030
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026thank you! i am no longer active bluesky staff but i still have a lot of love for the platform and the protocol 💜 060
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026Projects like this are fun because I always end up with more questions than I had when I started, such as: - What is "Feral Flannel Friday"? - What is "Drag'n Wash" and why is there backlash about it? (the summary helped answer this one) - Who is making Hazbin Hotel Omegaverse art? - Furry pilot? 3415
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026Yeah I've got a WIP explainer for the methodology sitting in my drafts right now. This was about a day and a half of effort (a nice sized weekend project) and drew heavily on the fact that i've already got a bsky archive in clickhouse for exporting and i have some background in ml pipelines 2110
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026yeah! you can get an idea of how it's working based on the web requests in your network tab 000
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026thank you! i modeled most of the frontend work off of webtiles and slippy maps since they've kinda been the frontier for performance of this kinda interactive data visualization 1102
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026right here - atlas.jazco.dev?sel=conversa...atlas.jazco.devAtlasA living map of what Bluesky is talking about: the past week's conversations, grouped into topics and regions and rebuilt every six hours. 250
Jaz @jaz.sh · 28/09/2026yeah with a handful of open models and some iterations between generative models and system 1 models as judges this is a pretty effective pipeline. on my framework desktop with 64GB of dedicated VRAM portioned off at the system level, this whole pipeline runs in ~35 minutes on 7 days of data 2120
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026a ml pipeline handles proposals of names based on embeddings of a collection of threads that end up clustered together and then there are a few rounds of judgement on the naming and attempts at renaming 060
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026embeddings and clustering of the contents of the heads of threads (first post and couple of replies) 120
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026a big ML pipeline on my framework desktop running against an archive of Atproto i keep in my homelab :) embedding, clustering, a couple of naming passes, then naming passes at different tiers of the hierarchy, some judgement passes to determine the quality of the naming, and then a layout stage 1420
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026also this entire thing runs on 7 days of data on my framework desktop in ~35 minutes 190
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026it's all generated by the pipeline, i'm not explicitly defining anything in it for categorization :) 210
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026probably not gonna be on the short-term roadmap, i want to get it to evolve properly across iterations without reshuffling the whole layout so that's the current WIP 170
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026im currently finishing up incremental topics/groups so that over time new groupings can form and topics can evolve/change/appear/disappear with each 6 hour pass 1260
Jaz @jaz.sh · 27/09/2026currently all english language posts though i should be able to get other languages in with some translation layers. cultural topic judgements get more challenging across languages though and i am not sure if it makes sense to have each language be its own canvas instead 5590

Jaz @jaz.sh · 25/09/2026yes when you fork a tab you’re copying it into your own repo with whatever changes you want 020
Jaz @jaz.sh · 25/09/2026Already done a good amount of additional feature work on this today: Play-along mode using on-device models to recognize the chord you're playing and scroll for you Much nicer controls on desktop and mobile Drafts and publishing/unpublishing Support for 4 instruments (Guitar/bass/uke/piano) Sounds 3252
Reposted by JazJaz @jaz.sh · 24/09/2026What if Ultimate-Guitar but on atproto? Jaz @jaz.sh · 25/09/2026it should support bass and uke but only if you create the chart that way, i can make the reader side togglable between them though gimme a few! 120
Jaz @jaz.sh · 25/09/2026ah yeah i shipped a fix about 4-5 minutes ago lol so it might have just picked up the new version 100
Jaz @jaz.sh · 25/09/2026hrmmm, it worked okay on my laptop and on my phone, i wonder if it's WASM related 110
