The fabric ones don’t do it as much as the waterproof ones do, I’m not sure why. We’ve used the fabric ones to cover the Dexcom with limited success because then she starts picking at the bandaid 🤦‍♀️ I just don’t understand why they didn’t use the G6 adhesive; those stayed ON

We’ve tried so many overlays but her skin is so sensitive that they all give her horrendous rashes. We’ve used the nose sprays, topical steroids from the Dr, wipes, Vaseline, everything. This poor kid is 5 and being eaten alive by adhesive

This is INSANE. My kid’s Dexcom fell off today, 4 days in. Ok fine. Switched arms, cleaned it, dried it, put a new one on. 2 HOURS LATER: she MOVED HER ARM and the new one popped off. Just, pop. I am so fucking tired of Dexcom and their fuck ass bullshit.

So, I left and came back home; bg well over 300. As soon as I left the hotel, my bg started to drop. By the time I made it back (3 hrs later) my bg was 104. Stress will do that to a person. And today my diabetes was the indicator I needed to gtf out of there.

Listen. I hate diabetes, I do. But sometimes it comes in handy. I was supposed to be on a 4-day recouping stay and the hotel I was in was not the vibe. My bg would NOT come down when I was in the room, but would drop as soon as I was in my car. Came back to the room, immediately shot up.

My middle kiddo is 5 today and holy shit I can’t believe it. From having to be vacuumed out during a c-section to being diagnosed at 3 with T1, this kid is an absolute powerhouse. We went to the zoo and saw all the fun animals and she had “the best birthday of [my] life!” 🩵💕
