Just so we're all clear: moving away from Unity is a HUGE cost for small devs. Learning new systems for alternatives is an immediate, *massive* problem. Your "scoff, why would anyone even use Unity any more?" hot take is not particularly grounded in practicality, I'm afraid.

No. There are many wonderful organizations in our industry that celebrate and mentor people every year. This is just more evidence that the Game Awards are primarily a commercial vehicle that isn't actually about the dev teams and building the industry up.
