7. Christine (1983). A goofy premise with some questionable acting, but it all somehow works if you glaze over all of that. Arnie's slow descent is fun to watch. None if it is really scary . And hey, it had Old Man Marley from Home Alone in it. 7/10

LOVED Send Help. You are now the second person who has recommended Exit 8. Will add these others!

6. The Long Walk (2025). Maybe not true horror, but pretty damn scary, terrifying, & fucked up. Nothing less from Stephen King huh? The performances are all great, especially from Cooper Hoffman & David Jonsson. I know some didn't like the changed ending from the book, but I didn't mind it? 9/10

5. Evil Dead Burn (2026). All of the gore & humor you'd expect from the franchise. I did appreciate the subtext of generational trauma & domestic abuse which the series hasn't quite tackled before. The story itself is fine, but the performances were enjoyable. Prob the weakest entry in ED. 7.5/10

4. Carrie (1976). Shame on me for waiting this long to watch this classic. While some of the acting isn't great, it tells a story worth telling. The opening scene is a bit cringe, even accounting for the time. Almost wished it was a bit longer to flesh things out more. 8/10

3. Pinocchio Unstrung (2026). I wanted to hate this & thought it would be the same undercooked slop like Pooh: Blood & Honey, but this was actually fun. It wasn't great by any stretch, but I laughed a bit & the Pinocchio aesthetics were well-done. The ending was a bit corny, but worth a watch. 6/10

2. Obsession (2025). Finally got to see what the hype was about and I couldn't agree more...this was incredibly well done horror from a couple of sketch comedy guys. The subtext and themes are executed flawlessly. It's funny and terrifying. A perfect horror flick. 10/10

1. 28 Years Later Bone Temple (2026). I love this series and this entry is no slouch. Ralph Fiennes is incredible, as is Jack O'Connell's turn as Jimmy. Probably the least scariest, but probably the most introspective. I hope the teaser at the end leads to another sequel. 8.5/10

It begins! if you have any suggestions along the way, feel free to drop them here. For reference, these are all films i'm watching for the first time. And here we go!!

Wouldn’t even care if they canceled sports

We are one day away from spooky month. What were some of your 2026 horror releases that I must watch this month? I have the lofty goal of watching 31 films in October.

real 007. The story is great & very reminiscent of a Craig-Era plot. The graphics are outstanding, while the game is appropriately long enough at around 15 hours. Though it has plenty of side content to get the most out of it. I hope Amazon keeps letting IO Interactive keep making them. 9.5/10

28. 007 First Light (2026). Hitman meets Uncharted & its beautiful. More on the rails than a traditional IO Hitman game, but still a ton of fun. The melee is incredibly satisfying and the gunplay is top notch. The game has plenty of gadgets and multiple ways to complete missions. You feel like a...

Edward Kenway is the best AC main character (sorry Ezio fans). I loved being able to sail again and have true ship battles. I do wish the combat got that new AC upgrade because it gets stale by the end. Also they got rid of the Edward's Fleet minigame which was a favorite of mine. 8.5/10

27. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced (2026). A remake of my favorite AC game. I haven't jumped into this game in over a decade so a lot of it felt brand new. The graphical upgrades, stealth overhaul and additional side content made the journey worthwhile again. This is the best AC story and...

Other thing to watch, how much do they rely on Mavis Graves. The big lefty allowed two runs in his AA debut on July 29 and has not allows an earned run in his 13 games since (17.2 IP 9 H 10 BB 29 K), over his last 6 games he has walked 3 and struck out 15 in 8 innings pitched.

Sony desperately needs a win. This is a good move. Also do Resistance.

Fun story, I deleted my Twitter around the same time. Like completely deleted my account. "Somehow" Twitter reactivated it and gave it to a bot. Twitter threw up their arms and said "oh well" to my requests to delete it. I implore you there is no reason to be on there anymore.

if ronald acuna played for the phillies, he would be my favorite player because he plays for the braves, i believe he is a deeply evil human being this is, in many ways, the highest praise i know how to give

I am so tired of writing angry emails to @norcross.house.gov and knowing you or your staff are too much of a coward to answer it. I can't wait for the day you and your awful family are gone from NJ politics.

Choices eventually became a West Coast Video, who also had some amazing deals. Both of these places were infinitely better than Blockbuster (apparently cheaper but i wasn't paying, I didn't get an allowance so rentals were my weekly reward). The building has been a beauty supply ever since closing.

This was the early 90’s there was a video rental store called Choices in South Jersey that had a deal of $5 for 5 movies for 5 days. It’s how I came to love film because I got to experience so much of it. My parents also didn’t care what I rented. I can’t find any record of this place online now.

26. Entwined (2014). A beautiful indie rhythm game about two souls (a fish & bird) who are soulmates but can't be together. The game takes less than an hour to beat & isn't very challenging. The imagery & music are outstanding, though the "story" felt a little half-baked. Worth the hour tho. 7.5/10
