#Caturday and a visiting neighbour from over the back wall. Proud of how tolerant Dimity and Jeggings are of his regular visits. #catsofbluesky

Dark tabby with black-rimmed green eyes, resting on faded terracotta porch tiles and looking up at the camera.

Oops, I interrupted Jeggings while he was playing with his sheet of paper. #catsofbluesky

Orange cat with light green eyes, looking up at the camera reproachfully. Behind him is the sheet of red paper he was playing with when interrupted.

24th September #HeritageDay here in South Africa. Jeggings strongly believes that couches and blankets are part of his heritage, together with treats.

September is his birthday month (turning 5), so there was a special delivery for Jeggings this morning. #catsofbluesky

#Caturday morning treat for Dimity, discovering the laptop bag had been left out overnight. Plus there was a taste of tuna for breakfast. ##catsofbluesky

#ThrowbackThursday and this was Prince Olaf, a neighbour's cat who would come round most days to play with my two. One of very few cats I've known who adored toddlers and little kids; possibly his deafness had something to do with that as he couldn't hear how shrill littlies can be.

White cat with deep yellow eyes, pink nose and ears, sitting on the ground.

Now the white cat is stretched out on matt terracotta tiles, with an orange cat resting on the other side of a green security gate.

#ThrowbackThursday We never knew his real name, so we called him Slinky, a young neighbour cat who visited daily. Missed him when his family moved away. #catsofbluesky

It's #Caturday and Jeggings and Dimity are happy to be home from Cattique Cattery now that their mum is back from her week in Mozambique.

#ThrowbackThursday Cleo was the kindest, politest, happiest cat I've known despite her frightening start to life, dumped at 3 months old outside the SPCA in a cardboard box. Our time together was too short, 8 years, as she had multiple health issues. #adoptdontshop #catsofbluesky

#ThrowbackThursday Jeggings on his fourth morning in his new home in December 2021. He had bite wounds on either side of his spine when he came into our lives as a lost, hungry little boy, and the wound on his right side is visible here.

Orange kitten looking up at the camera from a dark blue dressing-gown scattered with gold crowns. A wound is visible close to his spine, about halfway down his body.

Jeggings and Dimity say #Caturday is their special day, same as every other day of the week, and they don't have to do anything they don't want to... like looking at the camera. #catsofbluesky

An orange cat and a pale creamy cat with a brownish grey tabby face sit together in front of a cushion, determinedly not looking at the camera.

Being a sociable cat, Dimity would be wishing you a happy #Caturday if only she wasn't so busy contemplating the mystery of her tail. #catsofbluesky

Mostly cream coloured cat with brownish tail, face, and ears, appears to be studying her tail.
