They must think we’re all fools. Filmmakers already know the difference between presets, assistive technology and machine learning. Those aren’t the issue. Creating a backdoor for generative AI by suggesting it’s simply “the next step up” is a huge damn issue.

I won’t be telling you the still is from a leaked Beyond the Spider-verse trailer portraying Miles Morales and Jefferson Davis because any form of piracy is a naughty no-no thing and it’s very bad to find videos of it on social media sites such as Reddit so please don’t search it out with any combination of words such as the title of the movie with “trailer” and “leak.”

It’s especially unforgivable when a major corporate studio wants to create false exclusivity and make sure it can monetize a 2-minute video off the backs of hardworking creators, so I do not condone going behind their backs. I will definitely call the local thought crime police to lock you up.

Please DO support the film on June 18th, 2027 tho. The filmmakers, animators and the rest of the cast and crew deserve it.

Modern day digital cameras actually require -more- light, as well as specialized lighting setups and finer tuning in post, such as color grading and vfx. The issues (both crewing and lighting) come from misappropriating budgets, undervaluing crew labor and rushed deadlines, not the gear.

I may end up wording this inelegantly so apologies in advance. I don’t think I care about optical discs like blu rays as collectible physical media. What matters to me are the rights usually reserved for physical ownership, like being able to trade or to use things in perpetuity as you’d like.
