The other thing I went through was pre launch I was very much like "Thank god they cut four of the playable lords" to later doing a full 180 and really hopping we get more of them in DLC cause the four lords they cut are facinating.

When I first started FW I really lamented the smaller party. I missed the support convo's and the bigger group to fall in love with. But I did find myself getting really attached to those smaller groups and loving their dynamics.

Oh yeah I’ve heard it’s the one to start with. Where as I started with Dietrich who is maybe the worst starting point. I loved the run, but I do think I picked an odd one to start with

He’s literally the only character I’ve not played as yet. Beat two paths, now on my third. Yeah I’d recommend seeing them all out one by one. When you beat a path you get bonuses that can help with grinding in your next path, so jumping around will probably end up being way slower.

If we get two DLCs like with the OG and AW2, my dream DLCs would be. 1. Dylan DLC where he works with Estevez whose either in NW or talking through a Threshold as he explores the Oldest House. 2. Jesse prequel before Resonant that leads into her jounrey in Resonant.

If this game does get DLC, I really hope it lets you play as Jesse before and during the events of Resonant. The idea of her having Bayo lite combat where she's doing pysical attacks mixed in with the Service Weapon would own. Also I hope DLC expands the Oldest house into the research sector again

I am currently playing through Control Resonant in New Game+ and still loving it. I have small and big gripes, but the strength of all the parts together overwhlem a lot of my criticisms. I think the final fight and ending are very weak and Courtney Hope is royaly under used, but so much works.

I will say without spoiling anything, where he is is far less important to remind yourself of for Resonant than what he’s done. So maybe watch the Dylan and Ordinary Darling videos, but the game will catch you up regardless.

He shows up in the new game plus, seemingly in the Dark Place with Thomas Zane. As for Control 1, he exposes himself to Polaris’ resonance and feels himself changing.

The charm from the first game is still there. Its not like they made him a different character or person. Who you see in Resonant is consistant with who he is in Control, you just see him more without the facade this time. He's deeply human. Just alsoa human I very much want to kill.

Darling being the worst was always there, but its a bit easier to miss if you don't read up on him or pay atention to his actions in the first game. In the second it feels like the writers were like "hey so we fucked up. People keep calling him baby girl so we need to go the other direction"

Without spoiling anything specific, its wild how few of the mysteries of Control are even acknowledged in this game. It also really does feel like time froze between the two games. Did seriously nothing interesting happen in the Oldest House for SEVEN YEARS!

I like the vocal tracks in Resonant, but I think the Chapter Songs from AW2 are stronger. Also the one from the trailer that maybe outclasses all of them (besides that one again) ISN'T EVEN GIVEN A BIG MOMENT!

I wish the songs in Control Resonant (except for one) were chapter breaks instead of just randomly played (except for that one) at the end of certain missions. One of them, that was supposed to be a big moment was ruined by some real bad audio glitching which I'm sure will be fixed, but even then.

The first section and the quest after that are underwhelming. Some good moments, truely harrowing notes near the end, but overal its just the mediocre combat one after another, with far too long fights to clear it a room. I'm liking aspects, but the game is so unforgiving and so repetetive.

You mash one button to attack, with your heavy attack as a finisher and a very binary heavy. If it was a combo extender, or could be placed within normal attacks to do combos it would feel better. This is a step bellow Dynasty Warriors combat.

I've played the oppening hours of Control Resonant. It does not leave a flawless first impression. Does a bad job of building into its oppening, something the first game did a great job at. Doesn't reintroduce the world very well either. Combat is rough, even for Remedy. You have a single combo.

Wild to start a brand new studio to handle Halo, give them a remake no one wants to test them, then instantly lay off a shit load of them and turn them into a support studio for Activision. Microsoft is evil for many reasons, this being one of them.
