People say “2020” or “During Covid” about 2020-2021, but did you know that the years with the most Covid infections were 2024-25 and 2022-23? Deaths were the worst 2020-2021, but this era of Covid infections every 1-2 years is an experiment society was pushed into (and most happily jumped).
PMC19.com Estimated Within-Year Cumulative SARS-CoV-2 Infections (U.S.)

Chart shows cumulative lines of estimated annual Covid infections each year 2020-now, and a median line.

2020-21: 100 million
2021-22: 305 million
2022-23: 380 million
2023-24: 350 million
2024-25: 400 million
2025-26: 250 million

6-year median: 325 million

This is only possible with @michael-hoerger.bsky.social PMC19.com data, so thank you once again for all the work you’ve done to fill in for what public health agencies aren’t doing. And for the purposes of this thread, even if people disagree with case estimates, the trends are straightforward.

For the same time period Jan 2022 to now, there were ten waves of Covid compared to four of Flu A and RSV, and Spring 2026 was the first time in a long time that levels were very low since 2021 vaccine summer:
Wastewater Scan chart of Covid wastewater data Jan 2022-now showing 10 waves and wastewater rarely approaching zero except for Spring 2026.

Flu A and RSV peak during the winter and are close to zero the rest of the year. These are screenshots of Wastewater Scan data Jan 2022-now - you see four clear waves during the four year span:

New graph showing US annual trend of Covid cases 2020-now: - a wave right around back to school - a wave during winter holiday season - levels rarely approaching zero, but better in the spring This pattern is quite different than Flu and RSV 🧵 Data from @michael-hoerger.bsky.social PMC19.come
Graph: Estimated New Daily SARS-Cov-2
Infections by Time of Year (2020-2026)

Based on national wastewater data analyzed by Dr. Michael Hoerger, PMC19.com

Adapted by AngieCibisDesign.com and Jaydo Covid

Description of chart:

A line graph running from March to March on the X axis and estimated new daily Covid infections on the Y axis.

Estimated new daily Covid cases hover in the low to mid hundred thousands daily April-June.

July-Sep the summer wave rises to an estimated 1 million+ new cases per day.

The summer wave recedes to an estimated 500,000 cases per day in early November.

The winter wave takes off in mid November and rises to more than 1.5 million daily cases after new years, receding from January to April.

There are many kinds of respirators; this is a KF94 disposable respirator, or filtering facepiece respirator: www.cdc.gov/niosh/ppe/re...
TYPES OF RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

1) Elastomeric Half Facepiece Respirators are reusable and have replaceable cartridges or filters. They cover the nose and mouth and provide protection against gases, vapors, or particles when equipped with the appropriate cartridge or filter.

2) Elastomeric Full Facepiece
Respirators are reusable and have replaceable canisters, cartridges, or filters. The facepiece covers the face and eyes, which offers eye protection.

3) Filtering Facepiece Respirators are disposable half facepiece respirators that filter out particles such as dusts, mists, and fumes. They do NOT provide protection against gases and vapors.

4) Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) have a battery-powered blower that pulls air through attached filters, canisters, or cartridges. They provide protection against gases, vapors, or particles, when equipped with the appropriate cartridge, canister, or filter. Loose-fitting PAPRs do not require fit testing and can be used with facial hair.

5) Supplied-Air Respirators are connected to a separate source that supplies clean compressed air through a hose. They can be lightweight and used while working for long hours in environments not immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH).
Example of an open-circuit SCBA

6) Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs) are used for entry into or escape from environments considered to be IDLH. They contain their own breathing air supply and can be either open circuit or closed circuit. Example of an SAR/SCBA

7) Combination Respirators can be either a supplied-air/ SCA respirator or supplied-air/air-purifying respirator. The SCA type has a self-contained air supply if primary airline fails and can be used in IDLH environments. The air-purifying type offers protection using both a supplied-air hose & an air-purifying component and cannot be used for entry into IDLH environments.

Clean air propaganda - PC Fan based air filters are quiet, powerful, energy efficient, and modular/repairable. A great choice for air filter nerds or anyone highly motivated for clean air. A little too fiddly for your average user though who might do better with a mass market product.

If you look at these types of immune cells there are numerous studies showing Covid can infect or dysregulate most of them - NK, T Cell, Dendritic, Macrophages, Neutrophils, Mast cells/MCAS

Here’s what our first event in Baltimore in August 2025 looked like. It was a silent disco with attendance of about 50. Our Feb 2026 event will be about 150-200 (venue capacity is 500), no silent disco this time. We will have a chill hour from 9-10 though for anyone seeking low sensory time.

WHO said “FACT: COVID-19 is not airborne” which was 100% wrong and led to confusion and countless deaths. CDC advised against wearing masks in Feb 2020.
Tweet: World Health Organizatic @WHO

“FACT: #COVID19 is NOT airborne.
The #coronavirus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks.
To protect yourself:
-keep 1m distance from others
-disinfect surfaces frequently
-wash/rub your hands
-avoid touching your eyes

FACT CHECK: COVID-19 is NOT airborne
The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air. They quickly fall on floors or surfaces.
You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within 1 metre of a person who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth before washing your hands.
To protect yourself, keep at least 1 metre distance from others and disinfect surfaces that are touched frequently. Regularly clean your hands thoroughly and avoid touching your eyes, mouth, and nose.

CDC does not currently recommend the use of facemasks to help prevent novel #coronavirus. Take everyday preventive actions, like staying home when you are sick and washing hands with soap and water, to help slow the spread of respiratory illness.

And we haven’t even touched on the WHO “FACT: Covid is not airborne” which was 100% wrong and probably alone killed millions of people due to misleading entire global response.

Surgeon General at the time Jerome Adams said masks were not effective for general public. He’s actually been better on Covid than most people since then but the messaging started off horrible and was not corrected well.
Tweet from Surgeon General Feb 29 2020: “Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS!
They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can't get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk! bit.ly/37Ay6Cm”

jaydo @jaydocovid.bsky.social · 23/03/2025
They advised not to wear masks, which was likely due to shortage but they didn’t say that. And public has almost never been encouraged to use KN95/N95, I would bet a sizable % of population has never worn a respirator and doesn’t understand how airborne spread works, why a seal matters, etc.

In practice rapids seem to be missing cases. But in theory, they are designed to measure N protein inside the virus which hasn’t mutated much. I’m confused like most people but guessing it’s timing/location change of virus.
