Mark Carney is a diplomatic leader and a tough negotiator with a solid base of expertise. Meanwhile, Pierre Poilievre was second only to Michael Ignatieff as "most irritating politician of 2009" and is impossible to work with. 16 years later, Poilievre still lacks the finesse to lead a group.

Poilievre has never negotiated a contract, he’s never built a business, run a nonprofit, sat on a board of directors, had any due diligence responsibilities. Canadians have been subsidizing him for 20 years with zero accomplishments to show for it. That’s not a statesman, that’s a parasite.
