last school year I was seeing (in middle and high school classrooms throughout the district) class sizes between 27 to 35 for non-PE classes, and closer to 40-45 for PE classes

from my personal experience subbing through 2024-2026, they do not. they also don’t have the teacher-to-student ratio to have laid off the number of teachers that they have. however, they haven’t been able to budget for running the number of schools that are in the district, so they’re consolidating

my expectation is that they’ll be more likely to close the schools that still need renovations to remove lead plumbing and asbestos, and the ones that are still missing functional HVAC, due to the strike-led changes in contract a few years back that made those costly updates required

I believe that a functional country should strive to minimize the suffering of its people. very basic core belief. the current administration feels geared towards doing the exact opposite of that in order to maximize profits for a few people who do not see other humans as real people who can suffer.

this is our first time ordering this specific brand (ethical pet), and so far they seem like they might have a high breakage risk so we’re going to monitor them for a bit. thankfully our critters don’t tend to try to chew and eat toys, and I’ll follow up on how these hold up!
