My porch. Love sitting here with a cuppa and good book. Especially during a good rain.

I am a gay dad and this is FUCKED UP

Gov. Bill Lee signed a resolution defining family as a man, a woman, and their children, a move critics say targets LGBTQ+ households.

As another gay Dad, this is terrifying. Absolute, real-life horror show unfolding in slow motion right before my eyes.

Spring has sprung on my porch. No place I'd rather sit and pass time reading, meditating, sipping coffee or just watching the birds and squirrels.

I'll be exhibiting 3 original works. Acrylic on canvas.

Some sketchbook therapy today. I don't normal go the collage route but today feels very multi-layered so there we have it.

I hate that it's on Amazon Prime, but I'm nearly through Overcompensating and I think its pretty good. 8 eps and I hear there may be a season 2. Benito Skinner plays Benny, created & wrote the show. Props for all that. It's predictable but I'll take that over no representation at all.

Going to do some art therapy today, with a friend. This week in particular has been a real attack to the nervous system. Had to find a way to reset. Hopefully throwing some paint on a canvas will help. 🤘

Nearly done with the 2nd season and looking forward to the 3rd. This series is so good! The production values are fantastic. Cast is solid. Fans of the King family of writers should really enjoy it! #Locke&Key

Interview With The Vampire also veers maddeningly from the books, but is more true in spirit than The Mayfair Witches. I do slightly recommend. Especially if you're one who can watch Queen of the Damned without throwing a shoe at the wall.

My viewing habits have been altered a great deal since the child came into our lives. However I have recently been able to catch up on some things. The Mayfair Witches have been entirely gutted beyond recognition. I can not and will not recommend it. At all. Heartbroken that her heir approved it.

I recommend Anne Rice. Particularly The Witching Hour, Lasher, and Taltos. Sweeping historical drama, sex, supernatural, family, New Orleans, it's got everything!

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance. The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income. They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive. Wanna fix fraud and abuse? Fix that.

There are 37 donors funding the $300 million build of the new White House ballroom. Unsurprisingly, Amazon is on that list. But you know who isn’t? Independent bookstores. And this is why it will *always* be bookstores over billionaires. ✊

Largely retired from photography. This is from one of my last sessions, a bit over a year ago. I've had a camera in hand since 1991. That's 34 years! These days, it's mostly painting and sketchbook works. Not very actively pursuing sales. Attempting to... just... be.

Sunday morning coffee and reading time. With a 5 year old in kindergarten, a big 'ol farmhouse to take care of, full-time job, family and friends... my reading time often gets pushed out. Not today! Now... I read. 📖

I'm such a worm. 😂 A webworm! I feel that the best place to get news is to do the digging to find independent journalists who report on things that matter to you. It's about authenticity for me www.webworm.co/wildorgan/ @davidfarrier.bsky.social

Complete. Fun fact. This is the very first time in my life that I've drawn a particular face without a reference photo or a live model. And I had no one in mind when I began. I prepared by asking that my vision and pencil be guided. I believe they were. #sketchbook #divination
