Susan Dell's collagen stuffed face was bad, but purpose of this press conference is getting lost. It's the official rollout day for Trump accounts.

From the Oct 7th White House press conference in the Oval Office announcing the official rollout of the Trump Accounts. Susan Dell is speaking while Donald Trump is slumped in his chair apparently asleep. A comic word balloon is pointing to Dell, with the words "Trump accounts are the first step in our plan to dismantle Social Security and allow Wall Street to gamble to their heart's content with your future retirement!"

On FB Will Meugniot was showing some pieces from an artbook he did a few years ago: Dial N for Naked. He took Golden Age comic covers & added naked ladies. I got inspired to try my own hand at it. Here's my version, along with the originals

Am I the only one who would love to see a Flash sitcom with Mayim and Andy Ridings as the Garricks? @billprady.com any chance on that? I would think it would work way better than Powerless ever did.

My take on "Sally Strand" from the 1941 Merrie Melodies short "Hollywood Steps Out"

A nude blonde woman standing in a spotlight holding a translucent bubble in front of her. "Sally Strand" is a caricature of Burlesque performer Sally Rand who was a well known dancer in the 1930's and 1940's, famed for her Fan and bubble dance routines. The short "Hollywood Steps Out" featured a rotoscoped dance routine that cleverly kept Sally's figure hidden behind the bubble at all times. The short was directed by Tex Avery, who would later use similar techniques and inspiration in the MGM short "Red Hot Riding Hood" and created the character of Red, who in turn would serve as the inspiration for Jessica Rabbit in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

Friday I'm showing my funny edit of 2003's The Core. Fellow Twitch streamer DJ Deity is joining in as well!

Aaron Eckhart's chin dimple has to save the world!
When the inner core of the earth stops spinning and the world's magnetic field begins to break down, the only thing to do is NUKE THE SHIT OUT OF IT! So the US government brings together the best and the brightest (and Stanley Tucci) to drill into the center of the planet and save the day!
Since DJ Deity and I have put together a special DOUBLE RIFF of this turkey, we are giving you DOUBLE the chances to see it. I'll be showing it Friday June 5th starting with a preshow at 7:30pm Central Time on my Twitch Channel, and you can also catch it on DJ's stream Saturday at the same time!

It's an old meme, but it checks out.

A picture of the two far-too-young ICE agents caught wandering around an airport in full tactical gear. The pair have been photoshopped onto hallway of the Death Star and below the image is the text "Dogetroopers. If you assume all of the guys in white armor look like these dorks. It explains why they could barely shoot straight."

My Latest #LoboDrawAlong The theme last night was cartoon gorillas, but he forgot Ape from George of the Jungle.

Mr. Lobo is the host of Cinema Insomnia, the long running movie hosting show originally from San Francisco. He has made cameos and done voice work in several independent horror films. He is currently hosting his show on the streaming service Twitch at http://twitch.tv/cinemainsomnia

In the picture a cartoonish Mr. Lobo hung up in a tree in the jungle on the right side while on the left Ursula and Ape from Jay Ward's "George of the Jungle' cartoon. The pair are standing on a bamboo platform and Ape is gesturing behind him as he says "The stairs are over there."

There's "Honour Among Punks: The Complete Baker Street Graphic novel" by Guy Davis and Gary Reed from the 80's. It's got a Genderfluid steampunk (heavy on the 80's punk aesthetic) Holmes and Watson proxies.

In #D&D, the image of nymphs are visualized as residing in a lovely bower in the woods, singing & dancing with a flock of various animals surrounding her. Instead of playing a nymph as innocent living in seclusion, she could be seen instead as a power of nature that is to be reckoned with. 1/

Some art I did this evening after watching an episode of "Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space." Valerie is definitely the hottest one in the band.

An image of Valerie from the cartoon Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space inspired by the design of Boris Vallejo's film poster for Barbarella.

Valerie is in the center of the scene, holding her guitar, standing on a rocky alien planet, the rocket ship from the cartoon is on the left side of the image and some alien ruins are in the distance on the right. A large imposing moon dominates the sky that fades from yellow orange in the distance to black with stars higher up.

It seems we have replaced competing movies with the same concept with competing streaming series with the same concept. This year is DEI Steampunk. I have already seen Nautilus, so I am curious what Washington Black is like.

A promotional poster of the TV Series Nautilus with four of the stars of the show on the bridge of the ship.

FUN FACT: The Nautilus series was released to European Streaming services almost a year ago, but has only started streaming in the US since late June of this year.

A promotional poster for Washington Black, which is now streaming on Hulu. According to Wikipedia, both this series and Nautilus began filming around the same time.

I spent a good portion of the 4th of July on Twitch, and worked on this commission while watching movies.

Scene of a Regency era style ball. A dark haired man in a blue frock coat is dancing with a red haired woman in a green dress. Another couple, a dark haired woman in a red dress and an older man with a thick mustache and half of his face covered in a "Phantom of the Opera" style mask. Behind them are more dancers, who are out of focus.
