iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

like what kind of local band are you, I have to send money to sweden to listen to your record??

this next one is about liberating ourselves from the surveillance state. check it out on spotify!

this next one is about freeing yourself from fear and doubt by leaning on the people around you. you can pay the apple corporation $5 a month to rent a license to listen to it later if you want

went to see my friend play with a local singer this week. she was on stage talking about "this song is out now on all platforms" ????? I didn't come here to think about Platforms, I'm trying to "connect to another human via song". like can you save that for instagram? "all platforms".. ridiculous!

everyone's going crazy for the word combining guy but 20 years ago you all laughed at him

sonic the hedgehog (2006) npc named "Middle-aged Man" says: "I've combined "lucky" and "happy" into one word! "Luppy"!"

070

I agree and I hope this will liberate me a little

010

damn I never knew about this

to be clear I think it is probably great and worthy of my time I just don't want everyone thinking I read what influencers tell me to

130

friends suggested covering it up or placing some kind of disclaimer on it (maybe a bumper sticker that says "my other car is samuel r delany's DHALGREN") but I think it will be a healthy blow to my ego to go unassisted. please lend me your courage

currently reading. a dear friend sent me a copy because she wanted to discuss it, which I could never reject. and so while I've read a lot of hard books this year my greatest challenge yet will be "being seen in public reading a book that is big on tiktok right now"

in my hand is a paperback copy of "the count of monte cristo" by alexandre dumas, penguin classics edition

wait I was in this rhythm fighter tournament (which was so much fun) I don't know how I didn't spot ya. we should chat next year!

thanks for writing! I dug into these soundtracks recently and really loved how this one stripped way back some of the excesses of the console soundtracks. but would not have guessed the game had this much going on mechanically

it has been almost ten years since I started the pxtone discord server and this will be our 25th collaborative album. it's been a real joy and an honor to play a role in organizing these projects which I think sound like nothing else in the world. hope you'll join us or check it out when it's done!

our rule is always newbies welcome, no submissions rejected, the more the merrier. pxtone is about as easy to pick up as music software can be. but there's a very friendly discord server you can join if you need help (message me for the link)

hi everyone... if you love pxtone or if you've ever wanted to try it, I would love to have you make a tune for PXTUNES 10TH ANNIVERSARY, which I hope will be our biggest and coolest album yet! more info here: jaxcheese.net/pxtunes10

iirc there's a couple bits in 25 wards that feel even more self aware about this & I always wondered whether it was meant simply as a "wait 2 mins for the waterfall to open" type joke / play on the gamer instinct to fully explore an area.. or trying 2 achieve smth deeper mechanically or symbolically
