I held it together at tonight’s vigil until the brass ensemble from the Minnesota Orchestra started playing Amazing Grace and the crowd spontaneously joined in singing 💔 It was good to be with others tonight, lighting candles, sharing hugs, and petting golden retrievers.

Rep. Angie Craig is doing the right thing--the second time around, at least.

“As I’ve always said, I will work across the aisle whenever I can to get results for Minnesotans. That is especially true as we enter a new era of governing in Washington.

I am supportive of H.R. 9495’s provision that postpones tax deadlines for Americans wrongfully detained abroad, and I strongly oppose any actions that support foreign terrorist organizations.

However, over the past several days as the president-elect has rolled out his cabinet nominees, I’ve become increasingly concerned that H.R. 9495 would be used inappropriately by the incoming Administration.

I’ve heard from constituents in my district and non-profit leaders from across Minnesota who share those concerns.

For those reasons, I will vote against H.R. 9495 this week and will continue to do what’s in the best interest of Minnesotans.”
