County Cap #3 in a couple of weeks. Three @rhiwbinabowls.bsky.social players on the rink and a fourth club mate as a reserve. Good stuff! #lawnbowls

Sad day… said goodbye to our lovely, friendly and absolutely fantastic girl, Polly after a rapid decline in her health. She would have been 16 in February and had enjoyed a rich, full and happy life. Rest In Peace, old girl. You will be much-missed.

Different silverware this season… but a shiny is still a shiny 😊 Came so close to getting over the winning line in a couple of more prestigious competitions but nice to have a trophy to show for a good season. Try again next year 👍😊

Wasn’t to be this weekend… Won one of the Club Comps but lost the Championship Final this afternoon. Worthy winner, though 👍 Personally had a good year and so has @rhiwbinabowls.bsky.social - looking forward to 2026 😊

It sure… they were still playing when I left. I’ll let you know when I find out. Meantime, he’s me lobbing one down the rink 😂

It wasn’t to be last night; lost 21-10 to Martin Selway. No shame in losing to Martin; hard to be sure but I think I played okay at times 😊 Onwards to the Nationals in August 👍 #lawnbowls @rhiwbinabowls.bsky.social

County Senior Singles Final this evening against a very classy opponent. Will need to be at my very best to stay with him, especially early doors… games like this don’t (and won’t) come along for me very often. Will give it 💯 😊

Positions of our EWL3 & 6 sides after weekend’s 14-0 (home) and 10-4 (away) results. Going well and looking up rather than down 😊 @rhiwbinabowls.bsky.social

Fathers’ Day present from eldest son. Looks like that’s going to use my spare time for a little while 😂 Actually, it’s really thoughtful. I know so little about the life of my parents and ancestors so a change to change things on that front 👍

Doors open in sunny, warm Rhiwbina this morning. Peaceful and quiet… nothing but the sound of a robin singing his head off 😊
