I found Don't Look Up unbearable, but Digger was more like Poor Things, or a joyless version of the Phoenician Scheme, two movies I really enjoyed. Shoulda been 30 mins shorter, but almost every movie should be 30 mins shorter

Not a great film but a perfectly good film not deserving of the joyous contempt its commercial failure brought about. Immaculate set design, and a very interesting premise hindered by not revealing the conceit earlier which would justify or at least let us handwave away the hammy/smug/broad stuff

she was embarrassed by the attention but as we shuffled out she announced "thank you for supporting original animation" and everyone cheered a second time. Then in the lobby we walked past lots of little girls taking photos in front of the posters and displays. A+ movie going experience. I love LA
