Can’t eat a sandwich until you subscribe to sandwiches. Can’t eat today’s sandwich until it has applied daily sandwich updates. Sandwich now has adverts even though you paid for ad-free sandwich. Can pay again to have less sandwich adverts. Now you can eat the sandwich, but it’s smaller.

New mural in Ilford for @ilfordincolour and @woodstreetwalls @remirough.bsky.social and I have been collaborating for 36 years. Over that time we have made murals, exhibitions, paintings, entire books & all sorts of other things together. Somehow we are still finding new ways to make things happen.

This new mural, ‘Licensed To IL’, brings System’s iconic biomechanical character together with a giant blockbuster AOC, held high above his head, surrounded by Remi Rough's colourful abstractions. It was joyful seeing all these elements come together on such a huge wall.

On the top floor of the car park. The sky father Zeus, the cloud gatherer. Who hid all cloud cover as we painted in the unrelenting 35 degrees in the only shade we could find.

Beautiful Production Triptych. Created for an erotic art exhibition in 97 . Full images on my website www.jasonsystem.com?p=1087 These are heavily censored and pixelated to try and avoid the whiny bumboclats who might complain.. but somehow I think it looks worse than it is... #erotic #illustration

Heavily censored image from my erotic art exhibition. The pixelization somehow makes it looks worse than it really is.. although to be fair, it kind of is what it looks like

Still working on updating my website. Heres two old pieces I created for the Prologue group show. Illustrations on recycled packaging from parcels. www.jasonsystem.com?p=984

Delivery Notification. A drawing of a graffiti artist in a skull mask with his hand holding a spraycan up to the viewer. Pen, ink and watercolour on recycled parcel packaging. Its rare to get white packaging. And unwrapped, the parcel tape made for some nice abstract design. It also nicely rejected the watercolour.

Documents Enclosed. Pen, Ink and acrylic
A character, based off my actor friend Tony Hasnath, standing in front of a piece of System graffiti. Named after the documents sleeve still on the envelope. The original System outline is in the clear sleeve, lined up specifically to show the letters hidden behind the character. You can still remove it from the sleeve

It was inevitable, wasn't it🙄 Of course the Telegraph would run with something like this👇 So let's remove some of the rose-tinted spectacles and also look at some of that data comparing 1976 with modern heat waves Because the 1976 nostalgia porn is wearing a bit thin at this stage 🧵1/23

Telegraph headiline:

"Heatwave hysterics wouldn't have lasted a day in 1976", overlaid with a bold “MONK DEBUNKED” stamp.

A really old illustration of mine. I really liked this one but it took so long to layer up, I never used this technique ever again. Looks really textured in the flesh. I guess I could always just fake it with acrylic, pencil and pastels www.jasonsystem.com?p=835

Mother Earth illustration. Created with acrylic, pencil. Layered over with pastels and scraped away with coloured pencil to reveal the image leaving nice textured patterns as if the image has been scratched out

Playing NMS Remnant reminded me of Sorcerer. A film about driving a truck full of explosives shouldnt be this good. They erased Banksy’s mural in London — just like they erase Gaza’s story every day. 💔

Side-by-side images of Banksy’s mural on the Royal Courts of Justice in London. On the left, the artwork appears faded and scrubbed, leaving only a ghostly outline of a judge raising a gavel over a protester holding a placard. On the right, the mural is fully visible in sharp black and white stencil, showing a judge in a traditional white wig and robes striking down at a protester who defends himself with a bloodied sign.

From the LinkedIn of the woman—a white lawyer from Carlsbad, CA—who filmed this encounter and shared the video:

know we're not supposed to share things like this on Linkedn, but I'm going to share it anyway because it was horrifying and it's happening everywhere and it needs to be shared.
This morning when I was driving home after dropping my son off at summer camp, I saw a swarm of ICE agents as I drove past our local Home Depot. It looked like they were tying up some workers, and my first reaction was to pull into the parking lot.
I couldn't think. I couldn't process. I couldn't reason. I just jumped out of my car and started filming.
I then watched as these two people were disappeared into unmarked vehicles, with one of the ICE vehicles trying to back into me when I wasn't looking.
Another woman tried to help. An ICE agent tried to slap her phone down when she tried to get a phone number to call this man's family. They wouldn't let her. Instead, they whisked him away and accused her of obstructing justice.
I'm currently lying awake in bed at 11pm thinking about how these men won't return home to their families tonight, and their families will probably never know what happened to them.
I've been through some traumatic events in my life, but I've never witnessed anything like this.
This was down the street from my son's elementary school in our little peaceful coastal town.
You may not see it on the news, but you'll hear it from me because it needs to be shared.
