alternate post: call me tam the way i beseech an eldritch entity (riot) to kill the ekkoverse

you know, it makes sense that with reality fracture coming up they've killed the ekkoverse

2230

there's a lot of boring and plain stupid ones tho like: - "people will just add sb hate and kill lux next weekend" - "riftbound players are complaining over nothing about this deck, they can't handle combo decks" - "lux is an example of the designers shoving their mtg designs down our throats"

0110

some of the funniest response archetypes imo: - "are you stupid, you should keep this quiet so you can just play the deck at the rc and win best of there" - "saying you think a deck should be banned and then selling a deck guide for it is bad" - mtg players asking wtf is happening

being the main character of riftbound twitter this weekend was kind of fun, but also extremely twitter (extreeeeemely derogatory) i think mostly people really liked my approach of "play the very broken deck and loudly call for its banning" tho

I just made some post-Baltimore updates to my guide - not that much, mostly fleshing out a couple parts that I hadn't field tested, including giving the actual example of how I beat a Divine Judgment. The updates are clearly marked so you can easily find them on reread.

As of today, I am on the Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour. no funny statements this time, thank you all so much if you all but interact and yap with me about life and/or Magic. I deeply appreciate you all and even if you don’t play Magic, you are part of the reason I made it in the first place. 💜💛

The Ultimate Guide to Everything About Infinite Lux | JasonILTG

With two RC invites I'm done with the deck for now, and hope to be done forever (hopefully it'll be gone by the RCs). But if YOU want to play the most broken TCG deck I've ever seen before it gets banned (I'm expecting post-LA), check out my guide! www.patreon.com/JasonILTG/po...

Yesterday, I went 10-2-1 at RQ Barcelona with Lux, locking up top 64, and being the best-performing Lux deck in the room (though sadly this

I think my match winrate against the field in Baltimore (counting experience diffs) was above 90%, and I don't say that lightly. The deck is problematic both in strength and in play patterns, and absolutely needs to be banned @riftbound.riotgames.com

To everyone who thinks the deck "needs a good run" or "folds to Divine Judgment/Rengar": I beat both DJ out of Kennen (scoring to 8!) and Rengar in day 1, there's a lot of play to the deck and even your "bad" matchups like Rengar are only 40% IF the opponent plays well.

I am the winner of the Baltimore Riftbound Showdown, with the same Lux list I played in Barcelona. 5-0 9-0 in the Trial on Fri to win a bye 9-0 15-2 into double ID to get 2nd seed swiss 2-0'd my Lucian QF opponent Top 4 split cash and then decided Lux should win to get it banned

won quarters (2-0 otp vs lucian without point scoring equipment), officially done with lux (as in, i now have two RC invites so don't need to play lux in LA) 🙂

ID round 11 (9-0-2 swiss), locked for 2nd or 3rd seed probably

ID round 10 (9-0-1 now), pretty sure i can offer ID next round too

won 2-0 otd vs kennen (9-0 now). promising future did a lot to let me win through some mediocre draws and some light interaction.

IWGB Game Workers Union @gameworkers.co.uk · 10/09/2026

Results thread to get this deck banned, starting 7-0. won 2-0 otp vs aurora (8-0 now). first time playing the matchup, it's a weirdly interesting matchup tbh! ali had maindeck invert that in some worlds would've gotten me good game 1, but it only got 2 of my ekko/sacs

12-0 20-2 is my record on the weekend, which is also funny in combination with the previous context

060

11-2 is an objectively funny game record to end a day 7-0 at

won 2-0 otp vs reksai (7-0 finish day 1). it was amusingly the same reksai i played yesterday in the trial for the bye, still no divine judgments :p

180

won 1-0 otp vs ornn (6-0 now). we got deck checked, then they decided to scoop game 2 after losing game 1, apparently they had no helms and didn't want to play it out. i respect it.

150

won 2-0 otd vs zed (5-0 now). all my opponents keep telling me that they only recently decided to start cutting their lux hate :p

140

it's always lux's day, we're just living in it

010

won 2-0 otd vs rengar (4-0 now). matchup continues to be interesting. a rengar player who was more familiar with the matchup probably could have beat my game 2 (i was basically card- and energy-perfect), but the matchup is legitimately quite tricky to play.
