I saw The Odyssey on IMAX 70mm in Chattanooga and it's a top 3 movie experience of my life. Absolutely astonishing. The theater was completely sold out, but I didn't hear a thing from anyone else during the entire showing. And then it was awed silence for several seconds after it ended. Incredible.

I started taking piano lessons again this fall after almost 30 years of not taking them and I have found myself practicing two hours a day sometimes and not even noticing the time go by, which is something that almost never happened in my youth, though I loved playing and took lessons for 14 years.

Bradley County went 80% red last election but we had at least 100-150 people out for No Kings, the first one we've had here. I chatted with a woman who's been in the area since 1975 and she was blown away. The number of people honking and supporting was incredible, and it was peaceful and joyous.

The piano I ordered in April that was going to be unordered because of tariffs finally made it here after carefully timing tariff windows to minimize the damage. It's getting delivered on Friday. After all the events of 2025, especially today, I am desperately needing something anxiety reducing.
