Yes, surprisingly. There's a good reason "never read the comments" is a mantra repeated across the FT's offices.

Anecdotally, two relatives believe they've just had COVID again, and a recruitment agent I spoke with believes his family might have caught it recently as well.

I'm too online - I read this and thought by PDF you meant paedophile, as this is the term Gen Z and others now use to refer to them on social media. Your post read VERY differently in that light!

Fliss, may I introduce you to something called an Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract with full wrap? Basically fixes the price of the job at the outset and incentivises the contractor to get the job done without delay, since they won't receive any more money if they drag it out.

the app. I hate gambling and gambling apps, they're a pervasive and harmful influence on society, but the first time I heard this advertisement I had to admire the creativity.

There is a betting app with an advert on Spotify that is genuinely noteworthy; set to a banging house/techno beat, a robotic male voice says "Train toilet door, didn't work. Train toilet door, didn't work. Lock broken, everyone has seen me on the bog." and then a female singer comes in to segue to

Similarly, the advertisement for a new "McVitie's Penguin Bites Crackers" featuring what sounded like the least enthusiastic man to work for McVitie's also ran almost every advertisement break this month and I thought they must be mad running such an uninspiring advert.

"Have you ever wondered what..." begins the advertisement for a new podcast by Spotify Advertising, which plays virtually every advertisement break while I'm listening to Spotify free. I now reflexively shout "NO! FUCK OFF!" every time I hear it. And unusually no-one else seems to be complaining.

Why are you arguing with me? I agree that a two state solution or something reached via peace and negotiation is the only sustainable path. Unfortunately none of the leading candidates for Prime Minister of Israel supports a two-state solution, and the only other person with any power is the US Pres

I don't know about that. And "Does Israel have a right to exist?" is a question I've heard interviewers put to politicians, but as Begin's quote illustrates, the question makes no sense. That is the point.

Are the commonly-used definitions of anti-semitism reasonable or have they been perverted by those with an interest in linking anti-semitism with anti-Zionism? I close with a quote from the book by Menachem Begin, on taking office as prime minister of Israel in 1977: “The right to exist?"

What of the centuries of prejudice faced by Jews in medieval and later Christian states, and the tolerance afforded Jews under Caliphates? Where is the line drawn between legitimate criticism of the Israeli state and racism against Jews?

Have I been mistaken to believe that Israel exists because there is no safe place for Jews? And what of Arab Muslim opposition to Israel? Do you assume it is based in prejudice, or are there, were there, less hateful reasons for the Arab states to oppose Israel?

Does it mean the same thing today as it did 100 years ago? What about Zionism? Would you be surprised to learn that most Western Jews were opposed to the idea of a Jewish nation-state? When did that opposition transition into support, and why?

I want to write a review that does this book justice, as I consider that those least likely to pick up this book and read it are those most in need of it. I think this may be one of the most important contemporary non-fiction books. What does it mean to be anti-semitic?
