For the past ~year I have been using Google very sparsely. There are good alternatives which operate under a different business models: DuckDuckGo, Kagi, Qwant, Ecosia. There is no need to stick with Google. Every browser, as forced by the regulation, does allow switching default search engine.

Today it dawned on me. Le Chat had hallucinated that email address. Today I wrote through the form I found on the website, and the confirmation came right away.

A few days pass without a reply. And I think to myself: geez, this Mistral is so unprofessional—not even the autoresponder replied!

I spoke with Le Chat (Mistral’s chatbot) to help me find information about discounts for NGOs. It advised me to write to sales@mistral.ai and helped me draft the message. I did as it said.

I’m exploring the possibilities of implementing LLM tools in our organization. I’m looking into #Mistral as an alternative to #Claude, because I automatically give European companies extra points for technological sovereignty.
