I'm not angry - companies lie and misrepresent all the time. Getting angry about that would be pointless. I just like to point it out. I understand your reasoning and viewpoint. I just think it specious. I also don't consider that to be a problem, either. It's a disagreement.

I disagree that 'hardware limitation' is subjective. But let's consider it. Even then the evidence out there (e.g. it runs Alyx) is strong that it is mistaken or false. Similarly, if someone turned to me, 'because your English is not good enough,' I would think them lying for similar reasons.

"Two words" means "more than two other words"? Hardware limitation is pretty explicit dude. It means that the hardware is unable to do something. The hardware *is* able to run it well. The software stack may not be (e.g. EAC or the Meta viseme library that people use). That wasn't the claim.

Sure, I just personally believe that take to be specious. Consider: 'because you don't speak English, I will not support you' and you speak English. Deductively, yes, 'F => T = T,' but I *still* would claim that as mistaken or lying. 'Due to hardware limitations' is what I claim as false.

They can declare what they wish, but it still isn't true. The base premise of hardware limitation is false. Basically any other claim would be true: hardware incompatibility, hardware challenge, software limitations, costs. But not hardware limitations. The one thing they did claim is not true.

I am asserting that is false that it is because of hardware limitations. Hardware challenges, or (VRChat:'s) software limitations, but absolutely not because of hardware limitations. A false statement is, to me, a mistake or a lie. (Reposted comment to add missing words)

I see #VRChat / @vrchat.com took the approach of just lying about the Steam Frame. They say 'hardware limitations' prevent the desktop version running. Engineer here: false. It is an ARM PC that runs Linux. Unity supports ARM64 Linux. They just -don't want to spend money porting-.
