Mocht net op #OostendeVoorAnker een heel boeiende lezing bijwonen van @janmees.bsky.social over het belang vd oceanen, hun invloed op ons en hun wisselwerking met het klimaat,… Ondanks de uitdagingen (klimaatverandering, overbevissing, vervuiling) is zijn lezing hoopvol: de oplossingen zijn gekend!!
Jan staat voor een groot scherm met daarop 7 beginselen van oceaan kennis. Ik van kort samen: 1 er is maar één oceaan, 2 de oceaan en het zeeleven vormen de Aarde, 3 de oceaan heeft een enorme invloed op het weer en het klimaat, 4 de oceaan maakt het land bewoonbaar, 5 de oceaan ondersteunt een enorme diversiteit aan leven en ecosystemen, 6 de oceaan en de mens zijn onlosmakelijk met elkaar verbonden, 7 de oceaan is grotendeels onverkend.
