I’ve found that buying a few inexpensive, unobtrusive adapters that can just remain in situ on the old USB connectors is probably the simplest solution.

My hands do get cold if I‘m working at the computer. I don’t like wearing fingerless gloves (you‘d have to keep taking them off to do other things) but find old-fashioned pulse-warmers (knitted tube over wrist) practical and effective.
