Good to see our new article on #textiles in Palestinian diasporic art (me and @robertofilippel.bsky.social) published in @feministstudies.bsky.social; this was an opportunity to explore how artists use textiles to creatively engage with themes of gender, labour, and land: www.feministstudies.org

Nu. [3/3]

Oxford lets OpenAI train its AI models on Bodleian library
University staff voice concerns over reputational risk of partnering with company behind ChatGPT The University of Oxford has allowed the company behind ChatGPT to train its AI models on historical texts from its Bodleian library, as tech companies scour academic institutions for fresh data. The Bodleian material digitised by OpenAI has been used to “populate the OpenAI training set”, according to internal documents. Continue reading...

This was followed by the tepid Catholicism of a progressive school in a dormitory town in Kildare. No cool meditation practice, no cosmic forces, no role play.

Ok, now I'm sure I missed out! Maybe that's because my secondary schooling was divided into two distinct versions of Irish Catholic education: the first school, run by nuns in a west-of-Ireland, I had a full-on "you'll burn in the fires of hell" experience.

Arrest seems to depend not on their uniformity (of purpose or appearance) but on their political alignment and whether their actions further the interests of the state.
