Another thing to bear in mind is that, for ££, they don't last long. I've recently given up smartwatch entirely after abt 10yrs, 4 different watches (#2 replaced v quickly by #3: mfr's cost/product recall). For sustainability reasons, decided I didn't want to support a product w such short life.

Sth odd happened to my #CelebrityTraitors viewing... trying to watch on a ~20min delay, and abt 45mins (my time) in, the sound de-synced to the action (+ repeated earlier dialogue). My concern abt unusual baby names, of whatever era, is I suspect the parents of trying to impose on child's future just that bit too much. An in-cohort name (of any culture) seems to give more space for a child to discover their own self. (Never met a Janet who wasn't my ma's friend 🤦🏻‍♀️). #TheArchers

This one raises a fascinating philosophical question: if you list your flat for £200k more than it is worth, have you really listed it, or are you just posting pictures of your home's interior online?

Georgia Dean and her husband recently took their property off the market.

He bought the two-bedroom flat in Haggerston, east London, for £470,000 in 2014. But the mortgage rate was due to rise from 1.6 per cent to 4.8 per cent: renting the flat out no longer made financial sense.

They listed it in June for £650,000, a below-inflation increase. An estate agent told them “no one would sniff around if the price stayed above £600,000”, said Dean, who works in product at a tech start-up.

In the two months before the couple pulled the listing, it attracted only two viewings.

Hard agree. Been lookng at a particular st for a few yrs (but admin capacity presently consumed elsewhere, so not followed thru). For 2-3 yrs, houses +/- £1m according to decor/refurb. And then one offered at £1.25m. No discernible extra "amenities"... that little 'nudge' is a QUARTER of a MILLION.
