I know there’s a lot going on with the Labour Party, but it is all in the bounds of democratic politics. This however, paid collusion between the leaders of two political parties in the run up to election, if true, is a scandal of staggering propositions

Sure. Lift tariffs. Pay back every single penny. Lift the illegal embargo on Cuba. Enforce UN resolutions on Israel. Prosecute those responsible for the unlawful attack on Venezuela. Withdraw threats on Greenland. Support Ukraine. And then, sure. We'll consider helping.

Not a statesman. Not strong. Not patriotic. Not principled. Farage is a traitorous little shit who is too compromised and too desperate to please Trump, to serve the best interests of our country. He will only ever betray us because he has to see Brexit through to the bitter, broken end. (iPaper)
Farage Trump's comments 'not quite fair'

Nigel Farage distanced himself from Donald Trump yesterday, describing the US President's comments about British soldiers in Afghanistan as "not quite fair"
The Reform UK leader has called Trump a "genuine friend of the United Kingdom". This week, he said that the world would be a "better, more secure place" if America took over Greenland.
But Farage (inset) has now said that he would
"politely" object to Trump's claims that Nato troops stayed away from the front line.
Writing in a post on X, Farage said: "Donald Trump is wrong.
For 20 years our Armed Forces fought bravely alongside America's in Afghanistan."
Speaking in Davos, he added: "We stayed by America for the whole 20 years, we proportionately spent the
same money, we lost the same number of lives as America, pro-rata.
The same applies to Denmark... so it is not quite fair."
The Liberal Democrat leader, Sir Ed Davey, said: " I question the character of British politicians who've been supporting Donald Trump.
"I think Nigel Farage's character is on the line, along with Donald Trump's."

Artificial intelligence tool determines best candidates to take abiraterone, which can halve risk of death from disease Doctors have developed an artificial intelligence tool that can predict which men with prostate cancer will benefit from a drug that halves the risk of dying. Abiraterone has been described as a “gamechanger” treatment for the disease, which is the most common form of cancer in men in more than 100 countries. It has already helped hundreds of thousands with advanced prostate cancer to live longer. Continue reading...

Really struck today by how many of the people most responsible for the Brexit shitshow were actively rewarded for their stupidity/dishonesty. Knighthoods, Damehoods, peerages, newspaper columns, seats in the House of Commons… It’s a mark of how deep the rot has gone into the fabric of our society.

In the fucked-up world of Brexit ‘sovereignty’, Brexit only works if we beg a dangerous authoritarian US president not to apply tariffs to special little us, instead of working collaboratively with our own continent to protect ourselves against him. These people disgust me.
