I once had a parcel of expensive trade magazines turn up ruined by water. I refused delivery and the delivery chap agreed, explaining that all the items to be delivered that day are taken out to the yard OUTSIDE THE DEPOT to be sorted, even when there is torrential rain, as there had been that day.

I find it odd, and slightly unpleasant, that the BBC repeatedly refers to Sir Ranulph's 'former sister-in-law'. His first wife (her sister) died, they didn't divorce. Whatever happens to my brothers my sisters-in-law will always be my sisters-in-law and won't become 'former'.

There's an account that posts beautiful photos of York which is easy BECAUSE YORK IS BEAUTIFUL. After a dramatic storm recently it posted a stunning photo of lightning over the Minster and I commented that the storm had been worse than I thought as it had blown away the current scaffolding. FFS WHY?

There are a few people on Bluesky who seem not to understand why someone caught bang to rights with video evidence would plead not guilty. Perhaps they think there would still be a long high-profile trial with lots of witnesses, evidence and publicity if the defendant pleaded guilty on day one 🤷‍♀️
