There is a lot of squabbling on this app, but… politics means collective action, even across significant differences of opinion, to work towards common goals.

I would prefer not to be on social media at all. But part of the reason I signed up is that I think it is important to look at stuff like this and say “no.”
Wow! The Populist Party in Germany just had a really big night. They finally got tired of the absolutely horrible Immigration rules and regulations which have hurt Germany so badly. THEY ARE ON THE RISE, and not going to take it anymore! MGGA!!! President DJT

Well, I had grown a sunflower taller than my head—but then a bird got it, so, gone. But I don’t mind: I like the birds, too, and they always scatter some seeds in unexpected places, delights to be discovered on some future day, when a sunflower grows again.

The top holder of polymarket positions in the Michigan Senate race is an anonymous account by the name of aff3, which joined in May 2025, and whose all-time profit/loss is +$262,498. This unknown person also has a lot of bets on the Iran war, Russian conflict, and presidential election is Brazil. 1/

Good advice for the internet, from Catcher in the Rye (Salinger, 1951, Ch. 25). When you see people posting things you don't like, don't argue with them. Just block and move on, because it is impossible to defeat all the accounts with wrong opinions on the internet.
I went down by a different staircase, and I saw another "fuck you" on the wall. I tried to rub it off with my hand again, but this one was scratched on, with a knife or something. It wouldn't come off. It's hopeless, anyway. If you had a million years to do it in, you couldn't rub out even half the "fuck you" signs in the world. It's impossible."

I took this picture recently around town: 18 months after the Eaton Fire, lot after lot remains nothing but weeds. It is awful to see this unfold elsewhere, and to know what a long road fire-damaged communities have ahead. This issue needs urgent public policy attention.

This is not ok; while expected, it is still not ok behavior from the president. California counts ballots slowly—but mostly because it prioritizes making sure your votes count. 1/2
“The Dumocrats are at it again! They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES, PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN oCANDIDATES. Here we go with the very late and massive numbers of MAIL IN BALLOTS,” he posted on Truth Social.

Yeah. I think there’s a good chance Becerra passes Hilton, but Steyer needs to make up a 400k gap to beat Hilton for 2nd. I mean, possible? But I think Becerra is going to do well in LA, which is a very large pool of outstanding ballots, meaning Steyer will gain less. AP has a great breakdown.
Becerra running ahead of Steyer in LA so far.

Andrew Sinclair @jandrewsinclair.bsky.social · 04/06/2026
The main polymarket question--CA Gov Winner--still gives Steyer a higher probability of winning than Hilton (5%), and the similar mayor market gives Raman a higher probability than Pratt (9%). So, of course, the NY Post headline--
Headline: "California’s revolt: Spencer Pratt, Steve Hilton stun Democrats in early result shake-up."

This should worry Democrats, along with the findings in the governor’s race poll: 55%, CA on the wrong track. Sure, many will blame Trump for it, but many will also just blame politicians in general, and others may just decide to stay home.
