Been powering through heat exchangers and it's mindblowing the work that has gone into getting so many charts done. Like you the fact that you can get the parameters you need that describe the basis for so much in the design process🤯

2 heat exchanger analysis charts, specifically for 4 shells and even number of tube passes, TEMA E type for both de operation problem (upper one) and design problem (lower one)

(many are solved directly through matlab) And once that is defined, you can study it from a structural point of view (in my case, mainly through finite element method) to design the optimal system for said flow (this is on a very summarized view but it pretty much covers it)

Oh you are starting out I guess! Set theory is super cool and really gets you going. So I use hybrid topology (the geometrical version, not the data science one) to approximate my flow to a combination of geometries on which i can later apply PDEs to get different parameters and behaviors++
