While Cyclone Alfred is keeping schools closed I’ve been reading this book in between worrying about family, friends and the house. Some very insightful sections, great moments to reflect on teaching / classroom. Would recommend. Now I need to update my QCT training log #selfdirected #EduSkyAu

It’s nearly time for the students to return to school. I love the cartoon below. Teachers should aim to have fun and make their classrooms a place of learning. And adventure! So be a little bit Firefly. But remember you still need a Captain #Mal #EduSkyAu #Firefly #teachers

Reflecting helping students learn and increasing engagement. So going back into ‘feedback culture’ in Visible Learning (Hattie&Clarke) & creating a common academic language in Metacognition handbook(Webb) Anyone recommend any similar books? #EduSkyAu #metacognition #feedback #teachers #newterm

Finished and loved it. Great summer read. First Trent Dalton book I’ve read. What next? As good as ‘Tomorrow, when the war began.’ In fact what Australian book should I read next? Or what would be good to read with Y8s? Any recommendations? #australia #EduSkyAu #trentdalton #lovetoread #classreading

Getting ready for the start of her new Australian academic year with a quick recap of Rosenshine’s principles. My advice is read the original and then check out the examples in this book #education #teaching #cpd #aussieed @olicav.bsky.social @teacherhead.bsky.social
