I love that your tip for pax is to spend as much time away from pax as possible :)

YUP. 2004 sure was a time where you could get away with some real shit.

I'm playing the THUG2 story as part of a big update to ReTHAWed and man 2004 was...a time. Show a Napster to a kid to confuse them.

If you're coming down to PAX, I've got a few tips and tricks to make the most out of the event. #paxaus

I remember this being such a cool concept but loathed playing it. Maybe I need to give this another go?

That or you'll keep it going by going through the other games in the series. I..kinda need to go back to AC3 and 7.

Those are some great seats to witness some extremely happy people or some really depressed people.

we need more local videogames that faithfully represent essential aspects of Aussie life, such as following the pinpad prompts to finalise your payment

Didn't know there was a 20% off sale and I had a voucher, so I grabbed the two most polar opposite things I could think of.

A 4K release of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and a 4K boxset of Akira Kurosawa movies.

Going in as a neutral? Would not have taken you for a league person.

If memory serves this was a game jam inspired by the Molydeux twitter account.

Maybe, or it could've been this one. Image search links to the same place I got the invoice from, so I think this *might* be it.

By that logic then this would've been when they just formed the studio so it probably would've been closer to some Idle Thumbs merch. But I don't ever remember the shirt, is the wild thing!

Going through some old receipts and invoices. 2012 was a wild time. I have no idea what that Campo Santo thing was.

I've never come across a game that straight up tells me that my graphics driver is too new and recommends I downgrade. Fucking wild.

Boku no Natsuyasumi got a machine translation out of the blue. Maybe you should've kept this to yourself so we could've waited for a human made translation.

I've known about Boku no Natsuyasumi for about 15 years, since Ray Barnholt talked about it on his podcast, No More Whoppers. Then I bought every issue of his magazine, SCROLL, as it came out; SCROLL 10 (June 25, 2013) is all about the Boku games.

It has been on my list of things to play "once I learned Japanese well enough", but that never happened. I tried to play it once with Google Translate, but it was too slow and miserable — it was just not giving me the nostalgic feeling that I wanted.

Then I decided to choose a project to test Claude's multilingual and assembly understanding, and went with this... and it worked out!

I adore just how stupid this story is and the characters within. Such freaks.

I haven't gotten to Ace Combat yet but that fucking overheating alarm is going to be in my head for a few days. I gotta keep that engine going for just that little bit longer...

Oh yeah I can talk about this! I've been playing Galactic Racer! I haven't got a review yet (I got code on Tuesday), but I think it's a pretty good racing game but I kinda wish it wasn't a roguelike? Neat idea but it really doesn't do much for me.

I didn’t think Glebe would ever get a mention in anything but there you go. Akiba Lost is something I’m not sure I love yet, but really digging.

I've just gotten code for a review game today and I've already got way too many notes out of a 45 minute session. I fear I may have some opinions with this one.
