This just looks like another Matt temper tantrum... can people be reblocked? Or is it just open floodgates? So sorry that this happened to you.

The Maps Filter looks interesting - not sure how much capability it will have when compared to out go-to Jetengine Map Listings. #bricksbuilder

The selector detector with custom style overwrites is super interesting - we've never had an issue writing custom css, but never though about overwriting the css on set templates or components in the builder. That's an interesting workflow. #bricksbuilder

Visual CSS Grid Builder is so needed - yet to use it in anger, but love that it looks a lot simpiler to quickly create the grid you need. Beautiful UI design. #bricksbuilder

The rejigged UI for the CSS Pseudo classes works fantastic, much better than the older one. I love how it's much 'closer to the bones' just by having the css class name then :hover staight after, just like you would in CSS. #bricksbuilder

If there are not plans to move towards, no vision road mapped down to actionable goals.... ...actually, this explains so much about the last couple of years WP development.

While Matts response "The industry changes so fast, it would be silly to plan 5 years out" makes sense in theory, it's still a terrible proposition for a organisation of this size. #wordpress #wp

There needs to be a proper UI goal, direction, and a final vision. It's current state is terrible. Everything I've seen so far has made WP leadership look like a rubber ducky floating in the middle of the pacific.

In the last 2 days, I did as much in #bricksbuilder as it took 2 months in blocks (to be fair, I was learning... but it's not worth the stress at this point.)

The goal was NOT to load 100 supporting plugins for customisation, but I compromised with GenerateBlocks, just because it was needed.

Next was getting a query to work inside a flex grid. Nope.

Jamie Walker @jamieatstf.bsky.social · 05/02/2025
The breaking point was trying to get dynamic links on containers in a query loop. Can't do it.

I had the exact same train of thought - Mathias was cool, I'm excited for everything to finally fall into place - Mary, What about all my clients confused on weither they are using wordpress.com or wordpress the software? Almost every client is confused about that, no one is confused by WP Engine.
