At the #IronMaiden kennels…
Photo of a sign on a faded wooden fence where the slats are running diagonally from top left to bottom right. On the fence is a sign that reads DOGS RUNNING FREE, with the very faint word CAUTION at the top.

Strong “this” feeling.
Image of a man shielding his eyes from the sun with his hand whilst wearing a skipped cap backwards. A pair of sunglasses are resting in the cap.

Iron Brotherhood in blue and orange? That's got to be the IRN BRUtherhood?

Fair enough. Pigeons can make a bit of a mess, but zombies are probably much worse.
Still from Shaun of the Dead where a man picks up a pigeon and lifts it to his mouth as if to eat it. We don’t see what happens next as traffic blocks our view for a few seconds.

Took this happy boy out to Troon this morning for a walk on the beach, and stopped at driftcoffee.net where he had a sausage (and K and me had breakfast).

Bought one of these 'cos I was playing a halfling in my second D&D campaign at the time.
Pre-slottabase Citadel halfling mini holding a short sword and shield, wearing armour that looks like it came from somebody's kitchen. Image from https://miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=C11_Halflings_%28Citadel%29

In a shocking turn of events, I actually finished an Old World unit... #Warhammer #WarhammerCommunity #Painting #OldWorld #ChaosWarriors #WarriorsOfChaos
Fifteen(!) plastic Chaos Warriors with metallic green armour and large black shields with the eight pointed star in gold. There's also a magnetised Standard Bearer now, alongside Exalted Sorcerer (AoS Chaos Sorcerer Lord) and Exalted Champion (Urkhan the Dark Warden).

Flames? Gonna have to be this one again...
Warhammer 40,000 Dark Disciple mini kitbashed to look like a Thousand Sons Infernal Master. Has lots of bright flame detail, colourful swishes and a yellow Brimstone Horror in the foreground.

Damp? There's not much stays dry when this Slaaneshi warrior is around... #oldhammer #slaanesh #chaoswarrior
A metal chaos warrior model from the Realms of Chaos release in 1988. Standing on a square base decorated in green flock, this predominantly pink model has a sword with some distinctly sub-par multicoloured blending and a plastic shield painted with the mark of Slaanesh. A blue topknot protrudes from the helmet. It's probably too much colour until you remember it's from the 1980s.

It's maybe just me, but if you focus on Caanok Var - really stare at his face - then Maggie Simpson appears in your peripheral vision towards the bottom right of the image... #warhammer40k #hamwarmer40k #IronHands #DudeWhenDidYouLastVisitAnOptician #wh40k #CantUnsee
GW advertising image of Caanok Var. He's an Iron Hands space marine in black terminator armour holding a StormBolter in one hand and a power maul in the other with what looks like (if you squint the right way and believe hard enough) a toddler sized seat attached occupied by Maggie Simpson.

Work-in-progress shiny Guardians of the Covenant techmarine
Close up shot of a mostly-painted Primaris techmarine in metallic red armour. The chapter badge of the Guardians of the Covenant - two crossed white swords on a field if black - is displayed prominently on his right knee.

And then keep making it more ridiculous until you get to Party Cannon levels:

Forced perspective shot of a wonderful former racing greyhound resting his adorable snoot on my arm. Moment after this was taken the family in the background approached us and asked if greyhounds make good pets (spolier: they make AWESOME pets).

Got four Chaos Warriors finished this afternoon (in advance of the CH2 bunch turning up). Just realised I've given them Sons of Horus / Black Legion feel.

No argument there - or from Sales and Marketing!

I also really like the white marine - puts me very much in mind of these 1980s Chaos Warriors.

Awesome! We have Gala (racing name was "Gone Gallivanting"), aged seven and also an Irish hound but he raced out of Sunderland. Now residing my couch 😁 - photo is from a few weeks ago.
A black greyhound turning a distinguished grey wears a santa hat as he looks at the camera. A colourful cuddlepillar - almost mandatory in indoor greyhound photos - can be seen in the background.

Still image from a 1970s UK public infromation film about door chains. A woman stands in front of a door with the chain not in use. She has red hair and bears a certain resemblance to the Lois Griffin character from Family Guy.

I mean, "monster" seems a bit harsh. He's just a misunderstood, floating, magical goat-birb. But if the sacrifical dagger fits...
Front view if a Tzaangor (hybrid goat-bird mutant) on a flying disc with eight tusks - try to imagine a thick slice of watermelon that's been nibbled on by a werewolf.

The Tzaangor is wearing a leopard skin skirt-thing and has a luxurious parrot feather headdress (or perhaps it's just a sleepy macaw). In the mutant's hands are a staff and a sacrificial dagger; In it's heart is an unquenchable longing for knowledge (mostly of what your insides look like).Rear view of the same Tzaangor. Trinny and Susannah probably wouldn't approve of this ensemble, but Tzeentch doesn't care (might pretend to if the circumstances were right, though).

Was it a lemon-scented Airwick?
Cartoon of a wizard replete with tall pointy hat and robes standing with his back to a small anthropomorphised lemon. The lemon looks bemusedly from the confines of the summoning circle he inhabits while the wizard studies a scroll entitled with "How To summon a demon" written in a cursive script. The first letter of demon is presumably not a D, however.

The image has jimbentonGOcomics.com in the lower right hand corner.

Had a great time at #DATAScotland yesterday. Learned stuff from @techielass.bsky.social, @williamd.bsky.social and many other not here yet. Met some fun and interesting people, was given advancinganalytics.co.uk socks, and the view from the bar at the after party wasn't bad!

Reskeet with a picture of the very first game you can remember playing (there were doubtless various guessing games keyed in by hand from Usborne books, but this was the first home computer game that didn't feel like work)
Screenshot of the Blitz computer games on the VIC-20. Player controls a biplane that's gradually losing height and needs to drop sufficient bombs in the right place to clear a safe landing path.
