Bendigo Woollen Mills has silk mohair available in some gorgeous shades but I'd need to feel it before buying it because mohair LOOKS cozy but is emphatically not. It's one of the itchiest fibres on earth.

I'm reading A Certain Hunger by Chelsea G. Summers and HOO BOY. If you like your horror lush and visceral and full-bodied, based so heavily in the physical that you want to roll around in it, this is the book for you. Summary: A food writer murders shitty men. There is cannibalism.

@rahaeli.bsky.social Apropos of nothing, every time I see your name, I have to read it twice to stop reading it as "rakali" which is an Australian type of otter (they call it a water rat but it's almost entirely carnivorous). They're very cute!

A very fluffy rakali/aquatic rodent with wet fur sits on large, webbed hind feet. Its front feet are very much smaller and clasped together like hands. Its belly fur is a gold colour, with dark brown on its back.
