Finished these a week or so ago and forgot to post a picture - this is my standard sock recipe in a self striping 4ply, I just needed another pair of socks for the winter #knitting 🧶

Prepping for a house move so at the moment I’m spinning something I can easily pick up and put down in the evenings - “default” singles. This is merino but not especially fine, the micron count is a little thicker in this one #HandSpinning #HandSpunYarn

Spent this morning trying this flame yarn from “The Spinners Book of Yarn Designs” A spun single plied around a commercial silk thread, with a few beads thrown in as well. A lot still to learn in terms of regularity and control but I was pleased with this for a first try #HandSpinning #HandSpunYarn

Updates to my little technique study in the longwise striped top. On the left (larger skein) is the first skein where the colours were separated from the fibre and made into rolags. On the right (smaller skein) is a skein made by spinning from the fold 🧵/1 #HandSpinning #HandSpunYarn
