As disappointed as I was to miss the Canadian Immigrant Awards ceremony in Toronto last night, there was never any question that I would postpone a show. In more than 20 years of doing stand-up, I have never cancelled or postponed a gig for any reason other than COVID. And this video is why.

Strange cultural thing I’ve just discovered. Every single hotel I’ve stayed at in Canada has an iron and ironing board in the room. My parents tell me they’ve never stayed at a hotel, inn or B&B in England with them. Why is this? Are English people just scruffy gits & Canadians are smarter dressers?
