Running a game of Gaslands after work tonight! I've spent the last few days getting everything ready. It's gonna be an eight player death race, I've made terrain, painted up a load of kitbashed cars, made custom stat cards... I just got to the office and realised I've left it all at home. 😑

Just spent a day playing a toxic dickhead at A Play Toward, a contemporary larp set around a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (but with actual fey creatures causing drama). Larping in a theatre was fun! I also got to do "acting" on a big stage, which was weirdly nervewracking.

Risk Legacy is £18 in Morrisons! As a game it's fine, but as an artefact of board game history it's a must-have. The game that kicked off the Legacy craze, and pioneered several things that are now commonplace. We've got two copies. Never finished either.

This is a half formed thought but we need to remain aware of the fact that the culture of "left vs right" ignores "up vs down". Especially because it feels like a lot of people conflate "left" with "lower left" and "right" with "upper right". It muddies the water and makes actual engagement hard.

ADHD is crazy. I just spotted Balatro on my phone and realised I'd entirely forgotten about its existence. A month ago I was playing it every chance I had. A few days ago I literally remember thinking "it's weird I don't have any games on my phone any more". I'd just... Blanked it. Completely.
