I write code. You can find a lot of it at github.com/jsumners. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably riding my bike or practicing yoga. www.strava.com/athletes/5096393

Over a week of begrudgingly turning my Xbox on about half of the time I usually would because of this absolutely horrendous mini game and specific task in it. Finally, FINALLY!, hit it immediately after a run that was off by 10 points. Throw this in the trash where it belongs!

These @partifulapp.bsky.social people are taking the stupid to the next level. Not only are they tying accounts to an identifier that is NOT UNIQUE and is regularly re-issued, they are opening up that identifier to data leaks. In other words, anyone that drops their number can have their history...

The fact that I had to use this cheese technique and map to accomplish this says everything one needs to know about the terrible design of this game. gamerant.com/ff7-final-fa...

31 years ago today, one of the greatest movies of all time was released. Today, they’re trashing our rights even more than ever. Hack the planet!

The nonsense this industry comes up with. ARR => _ANNUAL_ Recurring Revenue. But they have $1MM ARR in less than a year? GTFO

I haven’t done that, but there’s a road in Atlanta that literally has two 90° turns within 15’ of each other. Cars park on the street there. I was going through about two weeks ago and a Waymo came from the other direction. I was red, it was yellow, in the pic. 1/2

I'm actively trying to organize and clean out my photos library. I used to take pictures of bad parking. I have deleted a lot of them, and will delete these, but these two have to be shared with the world before I do so.

This succinctly captures everything I despise about “go vote” calls. No one that says such actually wants you to vote. They want you to vote their way. Selecting “none of these wastes of air” is a perfectly valid vote. But they’d still are trying to shame you into thinking otherwise.

@nebula.tv please let me disable this up next screen. I want it to go back to the screen I was on when I started the video I just watched. As it was for years. (AppleTV app)

Ignoring the fact that they can’t even do the most basic research on me before trying to sell themselves to me: what in the hell kind of compensation structure is that? I couldn’t give a flying fuck about imaginary “tokens.” I hate this world.

Way ahead of you, man. OS wouldn’t even be updated if it weren’t for a device requirement. Ditto with my large form factor computers.

Let’s count the problems: 1. Never signed up for whatever list this is 2. Actual job description indicates remote people are second class at most 3. Clearly a “hustle” mindset over being realistic 4. Are you kidding with all of those VC names and absolute dregs of society? Nah. I’m good.

Not sure about every day, but I genuinely enjoy doing this if the outcome will be objectively better. Just being my version of the code should not be a reason for doing the work.

Love this scene. First, and only if I'm not mistaken, time we see this character. Total bad ass. Just "hey look! <wham! wham! wham!>" Stargate Atlantis S05E01

It's looking like the KeePass storage format is the most viable path forward at the moment. I need Windows, macOS, and iOS support. I don't like companies telling me they need to raise my cost because they just plain want more money. And I don't want "AI" nonsense in my password manager.

I’m supposed to trust these things when they can’t even report on categorized correctly?
“AI” summary claiming 20 minutes of Zone 4 cycling work when the actual data right above it shows 6 minutes and 27 seconds of Zone 4 work.

Just don't pay any attention to the fact that they sell all text on the site, yes, including text you put there, to at least one LLM developer.

The link in this screenshot dumps you on a github.community page. If I'm going to throw text into /dev/null @github.com, I'll just do it here: I hate these alerts and I absolutely hate getting them for repos I never enrolled. I want to turn these annoying things off COMPLETELY

I can’t figure out why that would be unexpected. There’s a significant difference between direct file access with a cutdown db engine, and going through a full fledged tcp connection to a robust db engine. I dislike MySQL as much as the next person, but this is 🍎 🍎 & 🍊 🍊

I’m about to 100% the Lego Skywalker Saga after getting back into it with, uh, a bit of a hiatus. That last 60% has taken another month. Probably the coolest thing is the capital ships you acquire and that they show up in the sky of every planet.
