And yes, basically everyone I’ve moaned about this too has hit me with the “Should’ve gone to Specsavers”

Needless to say, I’m very grateful I remembered that Picross *is* a Nintendo thing. Only remembered this week, so now tomorrow we get this.

Currently messing around with my Wii U. Why isn't NES Remix on Nintendo Switch. I remember it being good back in the day, but damn, I only loaded it up to take a screenshot of the title screen.

How is there not a Mini Mario amiibo, by the way?

That's a wrap on the first week of my new project - Nintendo 365 UK (@n365uk.strt-slct.com). While we're focusing on the Nintendo Switch / Nintendo Switch 2 era, there will be off days (most of next week, sadly), but we've already covered 1 Switch release, 24 Classics releases, and 1 Music release.

I’ve finally finished “Super Nintendo” (Keza MacDonald, 2026). Excellent read with wonderful insights. Highly recommend it.

I’d appreciate you checking it out. It’s early days, but as I say, September is done — so here’s a peek ahead on the calendar. More info in the alt bits! @n365uk.strt-slct.com

Nintendo Music displays the UK title, but US box art, for UK listeners.

Cruis’n Blast is delisted, hence the transparent Virtual Game Card

Some days require multiple images due to the volume of games added — 21 games on NES classics at launch!

I’m including some Nintendo IP titles published by others, like Cruis’n Blast and the Nintendo Arcade Archives games.

My other cart, Alwa’s Awakening / Cathedral, is interesting as the former is an 8-bit (NES?) port made for the Evercade release, whereas the latter is natively running on Evercade (meaning it is not emulated). My early impression of both games is excellent.

So far, I have two carts, and they’re both really neat. Mega Cat Studios Collection 1 is a mixed bag, but Old Towers is an addictive standout. Playing earlier games, it’s interesting to see the progression the developers had before landing on Old Towers. I’ll always sort by release!

My early impressions with the original Evercade are positive. The only context I had are reviews at launch in 2020. It appears a lot of work has gone into improving the experience, and that original hardware wasn’t left behind along the way. I’m now very excited for my Nexus!
