That's awesome <3 I'm hoping she'll have kits and bring them in to the yard this summer.

IKR? They're on swivels! She's super alert all the time.

More of the Gray fox that comes to our yard lately. You can really see the distinctive tail stripe gray foxes have in this video. SHE IS SO CUTE. (I say she because I haven't noticed any, er, male parts yet, lol.) #grayfox #fox

I got a trail cam for Xmas and have used it to see what's coming into our backyard (we feed feral kitties). LOOK AT THIS CUTIE THAT HAS STARTED SHOWING UP. This gray fox shows almost every night now!!! <3 We also have skunk regulars (Striped and maybe Hooded?) I'm in love <3

Still busy, had to do a sudden trip down to Phoenix for Mom but things are better now. Gotta get in shape, too...if anyone I know well wants to help me during my upcoming bull elk hunt I got drawn for in November, let me know. I look forward to going up to the Kaibab again+ seeing sights like this!

Something mindless+fun instead of dwelling on angst. Wasn't sure what the difference between "stayed, visited, and stopped" so went with stayed=overnight at someone's house or lodge, visit=camped overnight, stop=gas/stopover while traveling. West and South ftw tenpages.github.io/us-level/us....

The artist behind these has been doing this longer than most of us and we are so lucky to be able to enjoy the breadth of her work. She needs heart surgery and could really use community support atm www.patreon.com/TerrieSmith

Yikes! Glad he was ok ultimately. Yes, definitely frightening. Got a Spinal Tap and everything!

Thank you! That's awesome! :D

They are made with Sculpey +wire frame, then quilt batting wrapped around that frame, then fabric sewn up as a skin and clothes. The dragon was inspired by finding a blue, furry material that reminded me of cotton candy. This Xmas, I made the others for my Mom and 2 people who have hugely helped us.

Happy New Year! It's now 40 years from 1986 and '87- I want to get back in touch with the creative+adventurous energy I had back then. So here's some new art! Last year, I tried making plush, posable #artdolls for the first time. A cotton candy fairy dragon, then 3 animal fairies as gifts recently.

My posable plush art dolls. L-r: Bichon Frise, Black Lab, Gray Kitty and Cotton Candy Dragon.

A belated Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. I hope you've had good company, good food and good times. ... I tried to get my hobbits to wear these old "antlers" with varying levels of success. Rosie wisely stayed out of sight, lol. #dogs #germanshepherd #Kelpie #pittymix

Pippin is not sure this was in the job description.

Happy solstice! That sounds good. My favorite holiday food is my family's traditional artichoke-spinach casserole... relatively simple and SOOO GOOD.

That's so cool. Glad you got to experience that and I bet you helped a bunch of people look at nature and wildlife in a new way! Seems like a fun thing to do.

Felt shiny this morning so you all get some of my favorite art of my bird ranger and shiny hoarder, Fritti of the Smokecrest! [ #art #illustration #ttrpg ]

A digital illustration of a blue jay-like bird man standing on a tan background. He is wearing a red cloak and is holding an amazingly shiny red gem.

I meant to #draw a cute bat for Halloween. Better late than never! Allen's Lappet-browed #bat. I got the opportunity to follow biologists into a cave while they tagged some of these lil guys for a study.Got some great photos! Study showed they travel 50ish miles to get food near Grand Canyon! #art

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Frustrated little dude gripping a pencil saying “how do I pack this down into something I can actually share?” While swirling rainbows labeled “INFINITE POTENTIAL” float around them.

Little dude frowns at a tiny grey box, exclaiming “all that work for THIS?!”

Little dude shoves the grey box into another little guy’s hands; Frowning, stomping off, and saying “Here you go, I made this, it sucks.”

Second little dude cracks open the box, swirling rainbows project out onto their face.

Second little dude stares in awe at all the swirling rainbows now floating around them.

Glad to hear it. I would like to see you again, too. Miss my CA friends. And YES! Def, next time you drive past, lemme know, maybe we can meet somewhere. (We could even head up the Hualapai Mountains if you have some time, look for the deer and elk!)

I'm ok, but with all the extra things/errands I have to do these days, plus financial/job iffiness lately, I spend a lot of energy on non-art things. Wish I had time/energy/money for more art stuff/travel etc. But overall, doing well. Thankful for what I do have (including my Mom!) How're you?

Yes, she had a double lung transplant almost exactly 3 years ago now. It's been quite a journey. We even moved down to Phoenix for awhile (we're back home now but she still has to go down there every month). She's getting photopheresis blood treatments monthly, which has helped a lot. 🤞 You too?

Reposting this so I can research it later. Searched the database and yup, one of my books is listed. AI companies need to respect copyright law like anyone else, especially when they're trying to profit off of other people's work. Anyone have any experience with this/this group?

Here, have some engagement. Yes, I still exist! Just busy caregiving and trying to find hope and motivation in today's world. Also need more income, lol. Trying to get the gumption to post more often. Maybe have some art to post next. Hope ya'll are well.

That's awesome! I saw a king vulture close up at a zoo once and he really made an impression on me (still need to draw him). I bet you're having an amazing time!
