More on the medical theme: modern medicine is basically science fiction. 30+ years ago, certain diseases were a death sentence. Now most forms of cancer are treatable and you can live a normal life with AIDS. Its to the point that if Breaking Bad released today, Walter's lung cancer would be curable

Even before you're born, just flip through the obstetrics section of an EMS textbook and you'll find twenty different ways to die before you ever see the sun for the first time. Modern medicine is a miracle.

Update: Did not live up to the hype. Solid 6/10. Typical Nolan movie with the pacing of a Mr. Beast video and color palette of an emo teenager's first comic strip. Phenomenal cinematography and action scenes. Penelope & Calypso were robbed of all agency, and Odysseus was a generic American war hero.

"parents rights" are an excuse to treat children like property, rather than people. Kids have rights, parents have responsibilities. If trans people exist, then trans kids do, too. Its insane for parents to decide the gender of their kids, as though the kid is just an extension of the parent

Reminder that any trans person like Caleb Smith who does propaganda for transphobic Democrats is a traitor asking you to concede that trans women are essentially men, which is the only basis for trans sports bans. Any Democrat who says this believes trans women are men and should be voted against.

Unearned = extracting value without giving it back The classic examples are inheriting money from daddy or abusing a monopoly. Others include abusing IP, speculating on land values, etc. All of these things can be taxed or regulated out of existence. Land value tax, inheritance tax, etc.

The last boomers were born in the sixties. This entire list is filled with the accomplishments of the Silent Generation and Greatest Generation. Boomers weren't politically dominant until decades after these laws were passed, which is coincidentally when these laws started being dismantled.
