And this is the Celtics WITHOUT Torrey Craig.

Jalen Brunson. The gods will not reward this behaviour. You are a scourge on our beautiful game.

The Boston Celtics. We're feeling good.

Can you believe there were people that were worried about Al Horford?

Man we suck at challenges this year.

The Grizzlies are too deep. Can we please have one of Aldama, Laravia, Jay Huff, Vince William, GG Jackson?

This team is a "flip the switch" team. And the switch works.

This is gonna be the greatest fake comeback of all time.

Worst loss of the year. Bench everybody. Embarrassing.

Springer comes in. Immediate 8-3 run. Correlation/causation on point.

Winning in the NBA is hard. Trey Murphy went 6"9 Steph Curry mode. Winning streak engaged.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

Tatum is 7th in the NBA in total minutes this season. The Celtics just finished a 6 games in 9 nights stretch that included two overtime games. Not to mention no one has played more minutes than Tatum in the past three seasons. It checks out that JT looks tired right now.

Watching the Cavs shit their pants in back-to-back fourth quarters is a lovely soothing balm. Cavs are now 3-4 in their last 7 games.

The Celtics need to go 9-5 to hit 40/20. If I offer you 6-4 in the 10 games before the all-star break, are you taking it? Would mean we have to go 3-1 against Sixers, Knicks, Raptors, Pistons coming out of the break. I would take 6-4.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Derrick, Jrue, PP, Al finish a combined 7-27. You don't really have a chance when you get that type of performance from half the team.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

When are the monstars going to return Derrick's powers?

080

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Derrick, Jrue, Al, Hauser, PP are a combined 3/20. You just need more from them lol.

050

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

It was always going to be a tough night, and then the Lakers shoot 55% from three. Pain.

040

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Jaylen brown with back to back 3s? Ok ok

020

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

Oh shit. Gabe Vincent is gonna hit 6 threes tonight isn't he?

I’m kind surprised the Cs are so heavily favoured tonight (-6.5). Would be a pretty impressive win for the Cs imo. Hopefully we have the perfect blend of Jays on hoops fumes + guys with rest.

5th game in 7 nights. OT last night. Fellas are going for it. Al Horford to the rescue.

130

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Celtics win. That's all that matters. The Jaden Springer game. Who woulda thought.

1110

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Jaylen with some big nuts free throws. Never in doubt.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Mo Bamba really is tall for no reason.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Do the Clippers actually have enough for a squad tonight? They have seven dudes out lmao

I know it's late as hell for people on the East Coast, but I love these late start times. 2.30pm tip for me. I can watch the rest of the games before the Cs. It's not unacceptable to have a beer. Good times.

020

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Easily one of my favourite sequences ever. Jrue, Derrick, and Al making sweet sweet music.

1111

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

We have to rest KP, Al, and Jrue. We need to fight hospital fire with hospital fire. Also. Just win the game for the love of everything.

220

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Pretty cool that Hawks/Pistons is an electric matchup that I’m excited to watch tonight.

050

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

The Clippers big men are Mo Bamba and Kai Jones. Just play KP and Al tomorrow against the Lakers. Neemi always cooks the Clippers anyway lol

130

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Since coming back from his shoulder injury, Jrue has been excellent. In 11 games since his return: 10 PTS | 5 REB | 4 AST | 1.2 STL | 47% FG | 41% 3PT Defense has been rock solid as well.

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

So you’re telling me the Suns traded a top 5 pick for three picks in the 20s?

390

Jake Issenberg @jakeissenberg.bsky.social · 09/12/2024

Some Celtics fans have just rewritten how last season went. Through 24 games: - Identical record - Better net rating this season - Top 6 have played 1 game together - The non-KP 5 have missed 16 games You could easily make a case the Celtics have been more impressive this season through 24 games.
