Definitely one of the most implausible things in the history of Star Trek is a character played by LaVar Burton being unable to get laid.

To paraphrase my friend @jakebrannan5499.bsky.social, political scandals don’t really have the impact they used to.

Hey folks, my phone bill is due on Sunday or it’s gonna be shut off. I also need to get money aside for Bea’s prescription refill. If anyone can help, anything does help and it’s really appreciated

That Jacob Geller news is seriously shocking and very disappointing. I hope anyone he has hurt is in a much better place now and that whatever appropriate actions they deem are taken.

Lethal injection was sold to the public as the most humane way to kill someone when in reality the actual amount of pain and suffering the condemned endures is often unknown because of a paralytic chemical administered before the lethal injection. It’s fucked up.

Americans get a lot of (valid) shit for being dumb, even though we have little control over anything our government does, but Canadians i think are rivaling us in that they’re supporting the most cardboard cutout Wall Street authoritarian who would sell off Canada for all its worth in a heartbeat.

I think it’s funnier people try to name the best presidents because even our best have done some heinous shit because that’s just how leading America goes. Lincoln is great but still supported the oppression of indigenous groups, and FDR locked Americans up in concentration camps.

“Trump is the worst US president” sounds like a true statement until you factor in that 12 presidents owned slaves. 8 while in office.

Andrew Jackson also ordered literal death marches for Indigenous people and defied the Supreme Court which had ruled that state law applied to Cherokee land. Jackson still usually places in the top 10 of US presidents, btw.

Posting this because with everything going on, from vehicle problems, bills, upcoming phone bills and prescription refills, we kinda just need help in general, now and onward. I understand if you're not able to but if you can it really helps.

I only need $45 for my phone bill, which is due next week. And if possible I'd really like to put money aside for Bea to help her as well, she's had a cracked phone since she got down here almost 2 years ago. Any and all help is appreciated!

We might have to get Bea’s refill sooner than expected (it’s due to vehicle availability for us and being able to get to the pharmacy). If we can get $30 to $40 to help with it and as soon as possible it is really appreciated. Anyone who can help, please

Gotta start putting some money aside for Bea’s prescription refill and next months phone bill. We could also really use help with our electric bill with it getting really hot here (we can’t turn our ac down past 80 degrees). Anything helps if you’re able to and please share too

Not just Rand by the cult of Hayek (and then Friedman) too. This was the economic thinking that stormed through conservative think tanks in the 60s/70s across the US and UK, and these think tanks and the money behind them are what helped put Reagan and Thatcher in power.
