Very difficult to walk anywhere efficiently when the buildings and sky keep doing this.

Truly. We are tackling the same problem here: when someone shares a chart with you and you either don't have an account or are not logged in, when you log in or sign up, we want that chart saved to your profile. We decided to treat browser local storage as a "cart" of sorts.
