It is by its very definition racist. Translate it into black/white. If black people wanted to create a state (albeit for understandable reasons due to disgraceful levels of discrimination they suffered), it could only be founded on race (colour; see above), therefore it would be a racist endeavour 2

You are making the mistake of equating all Jews/Judaism and Zionism. They are not the same. One is the Jewish belief system and ethnicity; the other advocates a homeland just for the former, which is necessarily preferring one religion and therefore less favourable treatment of all others.
