Finally bested my overleaf demons. I just needed to find one hyper-specific reddit post from 7 years ago.

Anyway it was an honor to talk in a panel with @kathrynfedchun.bsky.social and @princerosalium.bsky.social on Spite, Survival, and Joy. QGCon is a testament to the tenacity of queer people and I am definitely invigorated by my time there.

EA saw that I was presenting on joy at QGCon this weekend and said let's sell out to facist bigots 😜. It would be my pleasure not to give EA anymore money especially if it's going to Jared Kushner.

Get over your desire for comfort. Get over your desire to stick your head in the sand. Get over your desire to separate your hobby from politics because it’s impossible. Listen to the people affected and be open to changing your behaviors. Especially when it’s as simple as not playing a game.

I was talking to an old friend and she talked about how AI will continue to grow whether we like it or not. These companies want us to believe that we have no control but I personally don't believe games should be served up with a side of genocide.

Excited to read Profe Carlos Kelly's book "Ready Player Juan"!!! I'm sure this will inspire more thought on how being Dominican has impacted my critical eye for race in games. I've been thinking about starting up a Medium or Substack for non-paper/more anecdotal writings so watch out for that.

Photo of the cover of "Ready Player Juan" by Carlos Gabriel Kelly Gonzalez. A tan man is sitting in a chair holding a remote controller with headphones and a vr headset on his head. He is surrounded by various game paraphenalia like potions, daggers, soccer balls, etc.

Very happy to have presented my work “I felt like I was them. I just didn’t know it.”: Exploring Queer Identity through TTRPG Play at #DIGRA2025.

A statue of a cat painted with trans flag colors (blue, pink, white). There are designs such as clouds and waves across the cats body.
